Yep I saw these this morning £359 on closer inspection there's a lot of plastic  but I'm sure it will be fine  if I can shift the trophy I may invest in one

The ground clearance is set by the suspension settings, droop screws etc. on both cars. They are fairly low by default.

There were problems with the SCTE 1.0 but the 2.0 (and the SCTE branded RTR cars) are pretty good basher. I've based the crap out of mine anyway and it's held up well and it's bone stock kit version. It's now on its 3rd body but I've not replaced anything other than worn out stock tyres and worn down DE racing and RPM skid plates. Not sure what the SCTE RTRs are like now but the kit version has a ton of hop ups.

The only negative is the ESC is stuck to the chassis by double sided tape. It's never come off but it's always something which I do think could have been improved. The 2.0 has a really nice battery and ESC tray but they decided not to copy that over. The battery space is also limited to a degree. The length is adjustable but I found that i had to buy specifically sized batteries to fit in snug with no danger of the centre diff rubbing (some 3S Turnigy ones were 1-2mm away which I didn't like!). I ended up with the SMC 4300 3S hardcases as they fit almost perfectly, oddly smaller than the softcase Turnigy ones of the same power.

I'm not sure I'd get this buggy thing though, because the SC style body really helps it as a basher. It's not going to survive the same number of cartwheels and stupid landings with the wheels exposed like they are on a pseudo buggy with 10th scale plastics.

Both good points, regarding damage. On the flip side, do you think it will naturally jump better, than the SCT, owing to having no "parachute effect"?

In which case, it might not TAKE as much damage, but might also not SUSTAIN as much, since it jumps better!

Decided I'm going to get one of these there due around April / May apparently .. Cant see it hitting 50mph like Losi state but I'll give it a go .. Hopefully some of the scte 2.0 bits will fit if it needs a upgrade ;)

I cant wait ant to be honest :)

Losi will have a parts break down on their site, so should be easy to see. I'm tempted to get the body and cage if it's a direct fit.
