Which Dremel to buy?

Oh How Original

Recommended Posts

After a good few years hard service, my Dremel 300 series broke, tried new brushes, new fuse in the plug and a new switch and it won't go, so I ordered a Dremel 3000 series from eBay, it arrived, felt very underpowered and the head broke on it after a few minutes so that's gone back, so, what other options do I have for a decent Dremel in the range?
The 300 doesn't appear to be available anymore and I don't know anywhere local who could look at mine to see if it's cheaply repairable.

Moot point now, however, I've had many, many years good service from a B&Q Performance Power multitool...cost a fraction of dremmel prices, cut through a piece of concrete re-bar (twice) and lapped it up.

So there! :P

I use the draper which is good for rc, I hate cutting with it I'm just bad. But I do wish I had a dremmel with one of those hoses. They look like you can be more precise with it. The draper is kinda bulky. But £20 with a box of attachments that don't last long. I've been using it for 3yrs tho.
