Details For This Weeks Bash Are As Follows.

Sunday.
16th August.
Standish site.
Post code - WN6 0UJ
9:00 - 10:00am Start Time.

If it's your first time,   
Turn off the Main Road onto
Roundmoor Road.
Then take a Right onto
Hartington Drive.
As you turn on towards the housing estate
Take your first left (marked bridleway) next to the big hedge                
Follow down what looks like a farm track (as it is )
And parking is up there on your right

**Can people please note that Access to the football field is Required at *ALL Times*
So Please *DO NOT* park in front of,
Or Block the path to, the Access Gate,
Also Please Remember that this is a track used for Access to a *WORKING FARM*
So please leave Enough room for the farmer to pass Safely with a Tractor &Trailer,
Any damage to a badly parked vehicle is TOTALLY on your own head,
So please be mindful of that at all times**

(Remember there is a bit of a walk to the site itself, so bring your drag ropes/leads, Bags or Trolleys to get your stuff there )

The site is Absolutely VAST
And while a lot of us use 5th Scale,
We Also run quite a few Nitro's, Brushless, planes, & Heli's,
There's spots for ALL scales and Types,
Crawlers
Scalers
Rock Racers
Baja's
Losi 5T's
MCD W5

So whatever you've got off road wise, then you can run up here

Although for the last couple of weeks due to the sheer amount of rain we've had, we've been meeting up at Soccer Dome's over spill gravel Car-park

Hi everyone, has anybody been over here recently ? Anybody had any complaints about noise or anything by anybody ? 

I headed over to Standish this morning about 11am, parked my car up in the normal spot not blocking the gate but right off the track so passing cars have no problem, I made my way down the long dirt path to the open area to find it was very muddy and decided no to run my truck because of this, 10mins max and I got back to my car to find my passenger side window had been put through ?? To say I'm annoyed is a understatement, nothing was on show in the car at all in fact nobody attempted to enter my car just a smashed window ? I have no idea why this happened but if you go over Standish to play there's a dick head on the loose.

We've not actually been using Standish for a bit due to the weather we've had,

And the conditions it's left the access, and the site in

 

But that's such a shame that you've had this happen :( 

In all the time we've been going we've never had a single problem,

Not with parking

Noise,

Or anyone unhappy with us running up there 

 

So while this is a terrible thing,

Hopefully it's a one off,

And the act of some mindless idiot Vandal,

Or no good thief thinking they'd find something 

 

I know the football user's sometimes park where we do,

And they are Far less thoughtful in their parking than we are,

Causing blocking issues,

As they dump them in all sorts of stupid spots and then bugger off watching or playing football :-\

Cheers hoss, it was certainly a unpleasant day fella, I'm still none the wiser as to why it happened ? I didn't even start my 5ive up to annoy any one ? Window was smashed but no entry attempt had been made as the glass although shattered was still pretty much intact in the frame, you could see the impact point on the window, no bricks or anything used near by ? 

But the most annoying thing is, it cost me £312 to get replaced on the sunday eve as I didn't fancy leaving it over night with no glass in the door, a expensive morning out for sure,  it's my pride and joy to be honest and i was obviously gutted.

Just be careful when you head over mate and let others know, I do want to head over again but I'm not coming in my car lol.
