I actually just sold all of my motorbikes. I had a Suzuki DRZ 400m, Suzuki bandit 650, and a Honda MSX125. Unfortunately when we move I have no where to store them which is why I'm looking for a push bike.

Lol yes, this is a thread about push bikes, hence the links to cyclesuk  :tease:

do not under any circumstances buy a chinkey copy one...they r a waste of money..no matter how much of a deal it might seem....out mechanic fixes loads of them and the quality is shocking. ..u b better off with a 10-15-20 year old yamaha. .suzuki..kawasaki. .Honda....lol...push bikes....I really should read things through first. ...

Out of those three I'd go for the trek as it has a more relaxed geometry that's more suited to commuting, if your set on a road bike the Giant Defy and Cannondale Synapse are also worth a look. I would also consider a hybrid if your just commuting to work.

The Spesh is a very highly regarded "budget bike" which I am sure would be perfect for what you need....if you have an MTB already don't bother getting a hybrid, you will only wish you bought a road bike after a while.

For that budget personally I would be looking at second hand - look at http://www.pinkbike.com and http://www.bikeradar.com both good places for bikes with Bikeradar having a better selection of used road bikes.

Something like this - http://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/1704872/?directtofirstphoto which is ever so slightly over budget (but much higher spec than all of the above) would be a good start and I am sure there are loads more deals out there like it.

Thanks everyone for the replies.

Im pretty open on the type of bike, as long as its light and fit for my purpose. It will only be used for commuting so needs to be able to eat up the miles.

I am open to the idea of buying 2nd hand so I'll take a look on pinkbike, cheers for the links shdaxner.

ostewart, I have a decathlon relatively close so I will go and have a look at the triban

Thanks again

Considered a btwin triban 500, get great reviews. Or a Mekk, best friend is really in to road cycling and I'll ask him what he recommends.

Yep, to be fair the Btwin Triban is a blinding bike for the money and a great entry level bike.
