tamiya spray colour advice?

Hi all,i have ordered some tamiya spraint paint its copper colour and want to know what to back it with?.I realy want it to pop so i achieve that orangey/copper look some suggest silver and others suggest translucent orange.Any help from someone whos done this colour or knows about colours would be greatly appreciated.

if you want shiny/polished look then silver or white will be best

 

if you want to get a something less in your face back it with black, just make sure you put a decent amount of the copper on first.

 

 

 

that said if you are only using copper then you can just paint it with the whole can and not back it at all

I was going to say silver when you started the thread, then waited for others.

 

Big Gaz's back with silver, then finally a good coat of black makes sense.

 

Perhaps consider one of those 'flaky silver' sprays, to give a better effect.

I'm no lexan master painter by any means.

 

But backing with a light coat of translucent orange and then by silver should get the right look.  then by black to tone down perhaps?

 

Even a dusting of translucent green in the process could provide some nice aging..
