Dubberz Posted January 19, 2015 Share Posted January 19, 2015 Hi All. Just a bit of advice required if possible. I have a Team Orion Neon 8 motor in my XB9 and it overheated and died yesterday. I ran it all day on Saturday in 20min runs bit it overheated on a 7min qualifying heat. I was running the same car, setup batteries and gearing. mattr Posted January 19, 2015 Share Posted January 19, 2015 Check the drive line isn't binding or tight. Running 20 mins ok. Then cooking on a 7 min run isn't normal! Tug Posted January 19, 2015 Share Posted January 19, 2015 The motors have moving parts and so will fail. Have you looked for spare rotors? The symptoms suggest a rotor might fix it and give it a new lease of life? If you do replace the rotor, do the bearings as well. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
