Steering Servo Issue

Recommended Posts

I have a HPI Baja 5B SS and some of yous may know me from the other forum. I do not know what is wrong with my steering servo. When the car is lifted from the ground, the steering seems tow work fine, but when it is on the ground, it struggles to move to the right and the left. Thern, when it is moving, espicially at high speeds, it does not turn right at all, only left? Someone please tell me what is going on?! It's not a good idea to take it out with dodgy steering and no brakes!

Is it the servo or servo saver? As to me sounds like the saver is too weak? To check put it on the ground and operate the steering and look at the servo arm, is it moving almost as much as it does when the wheels are off the ground?

every servo unless it is a very very high tourque servo will struggle to move a stationary car on the ground.

but when it turns right but not left has to be something electrical, either rx(dout it) or servo.

Yeah, even standing still, it turns more to the left than the right. When it's moving it will only turn right the tiniest bit, the turning circle for right is huge, compared to the left turn. You can see the wheels turning right to the maximum when accelerating, but it is just pointless when your just driving around
