I hate fat bikes ! They sound good but just dont work

yeah I've got to agree, its a great concept but a bike with that limited scope just isn't useful. I read loads of positive thing about then but also there are plenty of folk out there who having ridden one for a couple of months say they're pretty much one trick ponies and no very quick at performing those tricks to boot..

super nice fella can't beat a bit of vintage kit, proflex were revolutionary when they first hit, as were Girvan flex stems and rock shocks. I remember buying my first shock forks back in 94 they were answer manitou 3s and the cost me 345 quid.. Probably about a grand in today's terms4usyqamy.jpg

That's what I thought!

Now looking at 90s kit to try and restore it - the Rockshox are fairly 'period' but there's a few bits missing so they might be a bin job.

 

Those Manitous look tasty though, I could probably live with them on the front :thumbsup:

Just bought a new frame and forks so I can retire my haro shift full Sus, got a mondraker factor 2012. And a pair of manitou marvel expert forks.. ;)

Theres thousands of lads on there with the Retro bug and you will find parts there no problem ;-)

The Giant that never gets ridden, in fact, has only covered approx. 100 miles from new. This is partly why I am such a fat bloke..... :whistling:
