Well i got them off and no damage. But you nut seems strong...and even if it wasn't how thw chuff do you go about tightening in?

You tighten it with a wrench :)

If its tightened on fully, the nuts not the problem. Now you can check to see if you haven't added any extra spacers etc. Maybe the clutch wasn't on properly last time you fitted it. Either way, theres a good chance that when you've inspected all the parts, made sure theres no damage etc, and fitted it all back properly, it *should* work :)
