    really need to sell as i have uni in September, anyone else???
  3. Here is my Savage X SS, need to sell it due to going to uni and not having any time for it any more. Have looked after it a lot and has got quite a lot of extras with it. Have spend time and money keeping it running, got the car in Christmas 2007. Used all the guides on here to run in in correctly and build so it has been done properly. Have serviced it, all diffs have been taken apart and lubricated inside aswell as the gear box.     Manifold too bigg

    could do, but the hole point i got an exhaust with the spring mechanism was so i didn't have to use my coupler that is now nearly in 2 pieces !
  6. Hi, just a quick one really i have a Savage and the problem is I have just got a second hand Hong Nor Big bore pipe but the problem being is that the manifold part for the pipe is too big !! Now the pipe using a spring system to hold it onto the manifold instead of a coupler, so i was wondering if anyone knows where to get one that will fit in my savage !! Its really annoying but i cannot find anywhere, hope somebody can help. Here's a pic of what i mean by manifold: This is the one i have with the pipe which is too big....

  8. ye think am gonna have to, although i can't find that shaft on its own anywhere.... I'll try some grease on the owb itself and not just on the shaft.

  10. Right well i have had my engine in bits today, just having a look make sure it was ok. And i was checking the owb, and it seems to turn the engine when it is at the top of its stroke, in both directions. And I think this is why my engine buggered up the other pullstart, and why my drill won't start it (i got a second of life today, it actually produced smoke !!, but then the usual noise came from he drill and it stopped ) Video: http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y241/9800...t=MOV001131.flv Also a picture to look at, are the black lines around it normal ??     Starting K4.6

    well just went out again, and i held the back of the car up (this helped for some reason) and tried starting it and it fired up but as soon as it did the drill made the noise it makes when the tension gets too hard and the engine would just start turning over again. Is this becuase it gets hard before the engine starts ? or becuase the owb is sticking and trying to force the drill the other way round ?? Also there is alot of fuel coming out of the exhaust ??

    i know am spinning in the right direction cos it just slips in the other direction. I probably will end up getting one, it'll just be after christmas. I'm trying to save for a car aswell so am trying not to spend much money lol. Just annoying cos i really wanna go out with (nitro) car, i miss the fun of it
  13. have u tired loosening the glow plug by 1/8th of a turn, this will mean there is a bit less compression meaning it is not as hard to turn over and it will get a bit more air in so it will stop it being too rich. I had to do this for the first 3/4 runs with my savage because there was that much compression. once started quickly tighten it up and it will hopefully carry on running and ure sorted. Hope this helps, also try the hairdryer on it before u start it aswell as doing the above

    i know but roto starts too much money !! you have to get a stick pack, charger and roto start. And pullstarts break too often ! Also when i tried to start before video, it sort of went but the drill started making a noise like it was too hard but then it stopped and the engine stopped. Does that mean the owb was stuck and it was trying to spin the drill the opposite way ?? I just don't really fancy taking engine out and having to mesh it again, its cold outside !!
