wastegate Posted February 17, 2013 Share Posted February 17, 2013 My new toy. Subaru Forester 2.5 XTen. Same engine and drive train as the WRX but with tiptronic gearbox and slippy/fast settings. Full leather, climate control and built in sat nav. 0 to 60 in auto is around 7.2 seconds but in manual override it's closer to 6. Tops out around 137mph which puts it in Porsche Cayenne teritory. Fuel consumption will be a bit unhealthy but it won't do that many miles a year. Just trying to sell this one at the moment. Had it it for 5 years but it needs some minor work and an MOT to get it back on the road. Spent silly money on it, was running an AFP TD05/06 hybrid turbo, Apexi ECU mapped by Andy Forrest, front mount intercooler, 330mm brembo brakes etc etc... There's a good market for them as cheap track cars but mint classics are pretty rare as most are starting to rot now.. still the most fun car I've had.
