Oh dear, Dirty diesel power. Series 2 Discovery

Is the remap power, noticable as you said "much more drivable"????

Its like a totally different car. In the dry if i give it the beans the traction control kicks in :tease:

Being an Auto before it was never sure what gear it wanted to be in at 45mph, so just kept changing up and down with any increase in revs.

Now it just locks into top gear and pulls very smoothly for as quick as you want or dare to go.

Looking good,

Dad's got a TD5 defender, and it is suprising how much difference a good re map makes! He's also got a big intercooler, de cat pipe and is about to fit a variable vain turbo to it.

Another cheap thing you could change is the air flow sensor, made a huge difference (apparently the oil from the foam filter he has, damages the sensor), but as something relativley cheap, and often go anyway on TD5's, might be worth doing :)

Goes well already, especially for 'dirty diesel power' ;)

Keep up the good work

well, the thing about fitting the snorkel was i was always worried about driving in the rain and it sucking water

into the air box, After my trip to yarwell saw first hand just how much can be sucked in.

So ive been out a couple of times in heavy rain just to see how it copes.

Been to Stratford this morning and it was chucking it down, got home opened the airbox and its bone dry

so seems to be ok. time will tell.

Oh yes went to Stratford to pick this up.

For the money its spot on and seems solid enough.

If it ever stops raining ill get to fitting it

Right managed to do a couple of jobs today.

First off thank to Ryan for another great bit of kit..

DSCN0314_zpsbf374293.jpg

Then finaly managed to fit my steering guard.

Had to trim one of the brackets cause i wanted to keep the towing point and trim

the front of the guard so it sits against the inside of the bumper. Not going down the HD bumper route

so cutting the guard was no problem.

Very happy with it for the money

Now i know its a sore subject but ive always had amber warning lights fitted to my 4x4's

Id rather have them and not need them, than need them and not have them.

Just a cheap set from ebay
