Cheese85
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-5-Scale-30-5cc-King-Motor-T2000-4WD-RC-TRUCK-HPI-Baja-5T-SC-KM-Compat-Danlc4-/290628041368?pt=Radio_Control_Vehicles&hash=item43aac7fa98 Saw this whilst looking for baja bits on the bay, thought it was fake, but apparently not. It uses 5t parts as well. Interesting....
Sphinx
Thats cheap and nasty...................... Its a fake, KM are clones of HPI, but HPI dont make a 5T 4x4 Clone UberRC pipe ! I bet it wont take long to snap that belt! Gav Edited December 1, 2011 by Sphinx
leerobo
At least they had a go from them who do like there 4x4 but a belt driven isnt the strongest
HUNTER.P
Belt drive on a baja? Thats the most rediculous idea ever
Sphinx
As i said Phil, the belt wont last long, its so exposed ! Gav
hebby
Too much power for a belt drive imo
bodgemonkey
Looks like KM at least listened to people and made a baja based 4x4 petrol

Nitro-basher-chick
Yea that looks pritty crap, but you say that about belt drive, fg use belts on there 4x4 models, alltho a much bigger set up,belt cant be that bad if the fg boys use it. And the fg team has a lot of titles under there belt (lol) in europe. Plus some of the top end fg stuff comes in at around
Sphinx
The thing with FG belt drive is that it sits in between the chassis away from side impacts thats not ! That full on in ya face YO! lol Gav
howie87
im going to go against the grain, i like it. looks very cool
Donnee
chrome rims, every 4x4 offroader should have them
Nitro-basher-chick
I bet if i gave that to hubby he would brake it within the week lol shame thay did not base it on losi 4x4 system and just make it look like a baja
Thunderwolf
i agree on the "won't last" sid eof it but at th esame time i do like the look of it. would be a good laugh for awhile but i don't see it being a big hit
Turner Boy
I too like it, different, kool thing, belts can suprise you, cambelt, fanbelt? think about it?
Cheese85
Possibly better with chain drive? The Kyosho MadForce does well with it.
Nitroholic
The basic car will be fine. It's based on teh KM Baja clones which are perfectly fine. The T1000 is the KM version of the 5T. Only real issue here is the fact teh belt has no cover at all. FG belt driven offroad 4x4's use a fully enclosed belt which keeps the grit, stones, sticks etc. out of the way. This has the belt right where the muck will hit it when the front wheels throw it up....
Jumper
belt driven, off road, 1/5th, about as good as a savage with locked shocks
hebby
Think of it like this aswell if the belt fails its not a total loss you then have a 2wd baja
Cheese85
A rather heavy 2wd Baja, mind you.
hebby
A rather heavy 2wd Baja, mind you. Dont think an extra gearbox and a couple of driveshafts are gonna weight that much :xd:

carmst74
They do have a shaft drive version but its a clone of an FG. I think it looks pretty cool but it definately needs some protection around that belt.
Nitroholic
Nothing wrong with toothed belts for drive....but they are vulnerable to stones etc. Cambelts run inside covers....fanbelts are inside the engine bay... Some high power roadbikes use them for final drive...but no offroaders.... Modern kevlar reinforced belts are really tough and hard wearing. Turner Boy
Yeah, but most on here, like your good self nitro, are very capable, and inclined as such as to make a cover / case for the belt, fiberglassing, lexan, ally? all would work, afterall, what kind of r/c needs NO MODDING?????? exactly!
