stretch
yeah 3s definately livens it up, it would be ultimate basher if it was 4wd, thats why i have a slash as well.
Mr_Ambrosius
was looking at that tbone wheelie bar do people go with the standard soft tyre and plstic hub or do they pay the little extra to get hard wheels and metal hubs? i also see there is a third option seems to be a different size or something?yeah 3s definately livens it up, it would be ultimate basher if it was 4wd, thats why i have a slash as well. yeah think your completly right its a shme its not 4wd tbh. stretch
i've got the soft tyre on and it's lasted me about 2 years and still going strong.
Relativenewbyseb
Well this could be either the cause or consequence of the wobble, I will see what the difference is with the new bearing in a while Sent from my LT30p using Tapatalk
Cagethunder
Anyone used this brushless setup in their FS http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__42936__Turnigy_TrackStar_Waterproof_1_10_Brushless_Power_System_4250KV_80A_UK_Warehouse_.html Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Might have to stick with leopard ones on the first page I guess but heard a few bad things about them aswell. stretch
I only know 1 person who's had a leopard fail but a fair few who run them in their FS, as with any manufacturer you will always get failures, the hobbywing combos come well recommended as well. Thanks stretch and Alex I think I'll go with one of them. I think the problem was I was looking on YouTube and a few we're say the the esc started smoking and another had said that the magnets had come unstuck at a certain temp Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bigjimknickers
Just got back off holiday & decided to take a few cars out tomorrow, I've treated the firestorm to a 7600mah slash 2s lipos, I chopped off the trx connector & banged a deans on it, its now the official firestorm pack. I'll time it tomorrow, I'm expecting 30+ minutes!

Mmmmays
Just ordered me a 3s, a set of the Dirt Hawgs on Proline wheels and a 17t Pinion, as I think things will get toasty!
Mmmmays
P.S Will a 17t pinion on 3s be quicker than the stock 19t on 2s?
scarface87
Probably been asked 1000 times already. But What pinion spur setup can I run on my flux to stop it being a wheelie slag and more speed demon? Alex97
You want a higher pinion. What are you curretly running?
stretch
try adjusting the punch/timing etc on the esc, unfortunately due to it's light weight and RWD wheelies are inevitable.
Mmmmays
My Pro line wheels and tyres came, had to drill the wheels out slightly for them to fit the HPI hex's. I've lost a fair amount of rear track width though, which looks a bit silly and probably won't handle so well, is there such a thing as extended hex's? Thanks. P.s. 3s is f****ing insane! Pistonhead
If you go too large on the pinion you'll end up cooking the stock esc
Relativenewbyseb
Well we shall now see if the wheel wobble was all unbalanced wheels and tyres :-D Sent from my LT30p using Tapatalk
Relativenewbyseb
This is what I got now that there is no wheel wobble :-D Sent from my LT30p using Tapatalk

Pistonhead
I got that on 3s with mine, had a hard time keeping the front end down to get that speed too lol
Mmmmays
Haven't tried 3s on pavement yet, here's it on grass. Edited June 8, 2014 by Mmmmays
Relativenewbyseb
Yeah 2 zippy 2200 3s in parallel so I get more than 5 minutes run time, helps a little to keep the nose down Thing that has changed the nose lifting the most is I have experimented with switching the rear arms over right from the start and I haven't had any problems, I guess a longer wheelbase helps Edited June 8, 2014 by Relativenewbyseb
