  15. God damn my carnage brushless motor runs hot. Picked up a heat sink and some different pinions to see if that combats the problem but I'm not convinced. Nearly burnt my hand picking it up :-( Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  16. Cheers for the heads on London Rd, bit of a bummer as that would have been perfect. Yeah avenham park would be good but I bet the council would probably kick off. Would be good to find somewhere here, need to get some air as the streets are just not doing it for me. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2

  18. Have you still got the firestorm and would you accept an offer from me, due to the fact I'm pretty new to the forum? Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  19. Thanks for the advice you gave me the other day, turns out it was the Esc that was the problem and I got it replaced. No works like a dream and I'm enjoying bashing it. I've replaced quite a few parts already. I will say this tho the motor get damn hot after about 10 mind on the stock lipo, think I may try a different pinion from what I've read in the last few posts. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  20. Ah thanks, I think that's where I was going wrong I was tightening like 8 or 9 threads down not just as it hits the spring Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  21. Thanks, Yeah it stripped but also some of the plastic has stuck to the slipper pad and I can't get it off, hence me replacing the whole thing again Sorry I probably should have mentioned that I have the FTX Carnage Brushless and everything is stock so I think it's a 17t pinion. I have the sway bars ready to put on but I want to get this running right before I upgrade anything. By getting it tight do you mean get the nut so it wont go any further. Sorry I must sound like a complete noob!
  22. Thanks for the response tez, its sits on top of FTBB10? The reason I ask this is to narrow down a problems I'm have with the slipper shaft or shall I say my inexperience of setting the slipper nut. I've melted two Spur gears upto now and I've only had it a week. Its annoying me as I've just not had a good go with it yet. I know the whole setting up has been covered and from what I can see I have my mesh correct by placing a piece of paper between the spur gear and the pinion and the pushing them together and tighting the motor mount screws as much as possible. Its the slipper nut that throws me plus its a bit of a tight spot to get at the nut when everything is back together.
  23. HI, I realise this is a noob question so apologies in advanced, I've tried searching but nothing really came up. The Slipper shaft bearing bracket does it sit on top of the bearing or underneath in the motor mount? The reason I ask is beacuse I replaced the slipper shaft but it fell out before I could check how it was seated. I've been putting it over the bearing after looking at the digram in the componets and parts booklet. Thanks
