Loving the industrial look of the pipe!

Yes it does, I'm glad I went with the "raw" finish instead of the polished one.

If there's such a thing, that pipe 'looks loud'!!

Al.

I've heard that this "end bleed" pipe is extremely loud, I can't wait to fire it up.

Wow, I ran it the other day and I am impressed. I've heard that these are the loudest pipes out there and I believe it, I haven't had too many different pipes to compare but this is definitely the loudest that I have heard.

BARGAIN TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure many parts will fit the normal LST2 and XXL (chassis - be careful)

I think I'm going to have to go back to running a servo saver, I've busted a steering block almost every time I've ran it. I did boil my current set before installing them and they seem to be much better, I got a couple tanks in with no issues. That ERCM pipe is SOOO loud though, I can't get over it.

Do not run without a servo saver!!

I tried this when I went to a couple of higher torque Airtronics servos, but after some 'heavier bashing' it was obvious the servos were suffering, and the arms.

One thing you can do is 'the Associated MGT' conversion.

They have the same type of servo saver, but with stronger springs - best of both worlds.

I run 2x Airtronics Monster Torque servos (423 oz in EACH at 6V). Works OK!

No offence!

I've been wanting an lst but was put off by the parts being hard to find or at losi prices lol. Their not cheap but now the new one is out and the breakers get them I will keep an eye out for one I think. I just really like the look of them with the massive shocks. Especially the red alloy custom builds.

Loads of parts out there.

The XXL and XXL2, particularly with some early failures, mean that there continue to be compatible parts - only the base chassis is different from the original - and the gearbox less complex than originally.

What's the brushless conversion cost nowadays?

I've got a nitro XXL which is a keeper, but then I have another one which is just a roller. Was considering selling that and my 'in pieces revo' to go towards an MTA4 G3.

Opinions?

You're asking a group of LST owners, we're all going to push for you to keep the roller and convert it. lol  I haven't looked into a conversion lately, hopefully someone else will have some idea on the cost.

Check out Ebay.com

I converted my LST2 spec Raminator.

TBH it LOST character, but goes better (standard truck's damned good anyway).

If I could turn back time, I'd probably have kept it nitro - just less hassle now - 2 young lads limit 'free' time!!

So after not touching my LST for a while, decided to have a butchers and sort it out...mainly 90% of the hex screws are stripped, so spent a few hours dremeling slots in them so I could remove them with a flat head screwdriver. Managed to get all the bottom plates off, when I removed the center plate, apparently the cast engine brace was broken as half of it came off with the plate  :shockingscary: So apparently after a huge amount of searching the Dynamite RC ones are rare as **** and just can't get one so had to settle for a GPM ali one from asia tee's..I know GPM stuff is crappy, but it must be better than the standard cast one surely??I also ordered a full set of RPM arm's from them.

I have ordered a bunch of metric stainless screws to replace all the rounded imperial ones I have so far managed to remove. I also decided to get rid of the fuel tank primer and block it off, whilst doing this it looks like I have manged to break the fuel outlet pipe off...so new fuel tank needed as glueing it back I don't think is an option. I also discovered that one of the rear drive shafts is bent...ridiculously expensive to get replacements, so I'm going to have to attempt to bend it straight. So I'm pretty much hating this truck at the moment and spent loads of money on stuff just to get it usable and I'm somewhat regretting selling my savages now..ho hum. I'm sure it will all be good in the end, Just a bit frustrating at the moment. Anyone have a spare fuel tank or drive shafts kicking around?!

Be patient with it!! It is seriously worth it when you do it! I did mine, and when you get it up and running, it will be worth it!

Bit of help please chaps! removed the 2 speed gear and slipper assembly from my LSt last night, not to sure how it all goes back together again...as the exploded diagram is pretty awful in the manual...Really, is there only one manual for every re-incarnation of the LST??!!  Anyway if anyone knows a decent video or diagram of the assembly It would really help, my main issue is the little washer with bearings in it, which way round and where is it meant to go?

Fancy a bit of titanium on your LST?

Look here: http://www.ebay.com/sch/rc_specialists/m.html?item=181630896062&hash=item2a4a0b87be&pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562

These will make for a very strong truck!!

Not THAT expensive either - just the shipping costs.

I presume a multiple purchase should make it seem better.

Just another option.

Another year has gone and I took the truck out once! I'm hoping this year will be better! Hoping to get through a whole gallon of fuel this time rather than a tank!

My eldest son turns 5 this year, so maybe hoping to spark a bit more of an interest in RC Cars.

Same here, I have done the following to my LST in the last few months:

New LRP Z28, exhaust, ali diff casings, yellow shock springs, RPM arms, large capacity fuel tank, LST2 throttle linkage, machined ali engine brace, new hump pack, new wheels and tires. I have not even run the engine in yet it's had 2 tanks through at idle!

Any here's how she looks:

It's been over a year since I last ran my LST2, need a new engine and had bigger priorities but maybe this year... Lol

Wrighty8766, I might but will have to check as it's been a while since I had looked at my extensive collection of spare parts.
