Sharkfat78
I bought my wife the Flux for Christmas. On new years day she smashed it full wack into the side of my E-Revo. Broke the front bulkhead and the front upper brace (the part over the servo). I laughed until I realised she's done about
^Deadly_Sin^
I don't own one but I was interested in it for my first rc. I got the Kyosho instead which I really like but I'm still interested in getting a firestorm! Sometime this year I'll try to get me one of these. I can't really explain why but I really like the firestorm and the only thing that kept me from getting it was that everyone told me 4wd is much better for bashing than 2wd. stretch
Hi mate what kyosho have you got? The fs was the first hobby grade rc I got and I don't think i'd ever sell it. Indeed 2wd can be more challenging at times, I also have a 4wd drive basher and wouldn't really say either was better just different. ^Deadly_Sin^
Hey stretch I got the dbx ve 2.0 . It's pretty awesome and I didn't have any problems with it so far. I guess with the dbx ve 2.0 and the fs I'll have a choice of 2wd or 4wd depending on the mood I won't be getting the fs anytime soon because it's not long since I got the kyosho but it's definately on the list. I just wanted to tell you people that this thread is awesome for anyone interested in the fs and I'll be watching silently untill I get one
stretch
Ahh yeah I know it, well feel free to ask any advise about the fs in the future, hope you manage to get one they're great little cars. Glad you like the thread certainly seem popular.
The littlest hobo
My firestorm is currently back at the shop. Couple of points Shop have been very helpful Hpi have been amazingly helpful. Looks like its gonna be a new brushed motor and esc. Final question. Are the parts worth much on eBay? Reason I ask is that the links stretch put up have me tempted just to put it to brushless and be done with it. Excellent post by stretch
stretch
You have the waterproof version don't you? If so the wp esc is quite popular with people who run crawlers so you could probably see that on here. The motors aren't very expensive new and aren't the best so probably best to sell that on ebay. Go brushless and lipo mate and you wont look back.
The littlest hobo
Cool. Already on lipo so just the brushless to sort.
The littlest hobo
Another, maybe stupid question. Me and the kids really enjoyed using the firestorm at the local race track which the tyres aren't the grippiest on. Would it be madness to use these. http://www.modelsport.co.uk/ansmann-racing-ta-cut-slick-on-y-spoke-wheel-black-/rc-car-products/39885 Would they work
stretch
Can't read full description cause phone browser crashed but slicks would only be good on smooth tarmac. There's a link in the 1st post of this thread to some on road tyres iirc.
The littlest hobo
It is a perfect smooth race track
stretch
On road on the fs I've seen people use the proline speed hawgs there's also the road hawgs.

MacAli
Just to update, after emailing TBRacing regarding t-bone bumper fittings, it seems they sent the wrong one, there are 3 similar to the Firestorm, I ended up with wrong one. Oh well, rear is on an looks superb, the front is on way! Great service from TBR. Cheers
The littlest hobo
Question for stretch. The ezrun kits you linked to. Is there a particular reason you linked the 60a models rather than the 35a ones
norcoforever
Question for stretch. The ezrun kits you linked to. Is there a particular reason you linked the 60a models rather than the 35a ones you need the extra capability for off road high load running the stock esc is 100a
stretch
As norco said, the 35a would be more suited to a 1/12 or on road vehicle.

stretch
Ezrun 60a combo ordered. What kinda speed am I looking at on the 9t model in the firestorm Speed depends on many factors ie gearing, batteries, terrain etc, there's online speed calculators to help you find out a theoretical speed. Firestorm arrived today, only running a 15t brushed for now, however I have lots of plans Nice one keep us updated mate
