  1. I think that's a setup, If that's for his round, It's gonna take him twice as long to do it as he'll have to hunt for each package, And why would you do something that makes your day twice as long if the days are already so long.
  2. I know were your going with that. It all seems to have all got a bit out of control, Once upon a time a cheap black can or £40 pound 2000Kv Leopard or Hobbywing motor, Mated to a 6s 120Amp XERun or Castle monster was all you needed to push that great lump of a Savage conversion, Or Muggy conversion, Even an Cen GSt7 with a 2200KV and 80amp esc was knocking around at one point, Now it's all motors the size of Fosters cans and ESC powerful enough the push the Queen Elizabeth Air Craft Carrier along just to move your standard everyday 1/8 Truggy, Anything less just doesn't cut it these days. This will run it for £60, J.K has one in the For Sale section for £32, So save a good few quid Or This. About £62, Ok, There not big enough to take the end bell off and use as a water butt, But they'll push along a little Truggy with not much trouble.
  3. Oh, I get it, Earns your money and all that, I get the bling, (But the Castle don't really look all that much, If your honest)The efficiency, In a basher, Sorry, Don't buy it. If you need to get every drop of power you can out of that corner, Or your loosing a 10th every lap to the competition cos the cars your racing with have an extra 10% efficiency, OK, Fill your boots, But driving on a bit of wast ground, BMX track. Bearings and glue, Really, Even your 50 quid jobbies are pretty dam reliable these days, And if it dose go bang, You still have a 150 quid saving to buy another. As you say, Each to there own, We're all entitled to our opinions, But if someone tells me this is worth the extra 150 quid cos it runs a little bit cooler, Runs a couple MPH quicker, Will go a minute or two longer, And might be more reliable, I'll say, Keep that lot and give me a couple more pack.
  4. Why dose everybody else seem to have such trouble with Hermes and the like, I've had a bit of a purge the last 3 or 4 weeks and sold 9 things at £1100, Everything has arrived in double quick fashion, And in all my years I don't think I have ever lost one thing. I sent my full Alloy X2 for 20 quid, That was just knocking on the door of 20KG, And like I said, I sent all my slotcar stuff for £31, In 3 separate boxes and 40KG, No trouble at all, Booked online at about 10pm on a Monday, Picked up Wednesday, Job done. Hermes and the like are great if you ask me, I can sell something 9 o'clock at night, Print off a label and drop it off at my local CostCutter or offie 5 minutes later.
  5. So serious question, Anyone that's looking at spending that sort of money on a motor, What dose that exactly get you, What dose a 200 quid motor give you over a 50 quid motor, I think there is a certain price point with these things were it just get's a bit out of hand, And the any old justification waffle starts to come out.
  6. Stock due on the wife's birthday, That's her sorted.

    Ramp

I remember the last time I linked to a ramp on here, Was the time I found out that riding a Skateboard with your fingers was a thing, As you can imagine, It was too small, And I still can't get my head round the fact that riding a Skateboard with your fingers is a thing.
  8. Instead of looking at ways around clearing the pumpkin, Maybe they should look at ways of loosing it all together.
  9. Tided the Nitro's in the loft, I'd just like to tidy me loft.
  10. Just great to see Hong Nor still going and designing, As strong and reliable as any other manufacturer on the market, Just wish they would knock out some more new stuff, And get a distributor over here.
  11. Agree, Wheels are a gimmick we can all do without.
  12. Which is the exact reason no one tries to innovate anymore, Just copy what sells and try to take a little bit of that cash flow, Scale crawling is full of gimmicks, Why stick a winch on the front of your toy car when I can walk over a pick it up. I don't have a crawler, So don't really have a right to say, But if I want a scale crawler, I look at the word Scale, Looks like the real thing, Body roll like the real thing, Seals getting hooked up like the real thing, Low and high ratio like the real, I would assume that if I put a Land Rover body on this, It wouldn't be a Scale Crawler, Or maybe I'm in the minority and the chassis doesn't matter, And Scale just means having a winch and a plastic shovel stuck to the side.
  13. Yer, But is that such a bad thing, This hobby has a tendency to make up it's own words for class of cars, You get some that make a Rock Crawler, Stick a Land Rover body on it and say they have a scale crawler, No you don't, You've got a Rock Crawler with a Land Rover body on it, Stick a Ferrari body on a ford escort chassis, You don't have a Ferrari, The Kit car people learned that years ago. So is it such a bad thing to have a scale crawler that gets hung up like the real thing, That's a bit complex to work on, Something you drive to it's limitations, I think it looks good, And it's 180 quid cheaper than the Traxxas, Which is a hell of a lot of money. Problem is, I think like every other, It will fade in the shadow of the Traxxas and Axial, It won't be recommended or given a chance, Not here anyway, Sounds harsh, But you know it's true, The Underdog is always the underdog here.
  14. Not car really, I seem to be getting back a bit of a taste for Nitro, So broke out the starter box and added a small mod ready to put together a PitBuddy. Wired a small DC step down board inside and run it to a plug on the front to plug in the Glowplug.
  15. Soon as the picture showed up, First thing I thought was I've seen that on BangGood or Aliexpress. But this is another one of them snob things, "Will you buy this Yi Kong Racing crawler for £350", Not on your nelly mate, Cheap Chinese rubbish. "How about this crawler which is the same as the Yi Kong but with an Absima name on it" Ooh I like that.
  16. So, I sold all my slotcar stuff the other day, Quiet a lot of stuff, Used Parcel Monkey in the end and a pickup with Parcel Force, I had 3 boxes, One box was 19kg, One box was 15kg, And the smallest was 6kg, So that's 40kg in total, Cost me 31 quid with insurance. So the next time someone says my Truggy is heavy and it's 30 quid delivery, Tell them to do one.
  17. Sorry for the big gap, Sun comes out, I spend the next 24 hours in bed and on settee with migraine. So, It's ether something is missing, Or matt left us hanging with the price, Better leave it there as an unsolved mystery and move back on point.
  18. Sorry, I've just read yours again AJ, And you finish on 'tho' Still doesn't explain matt's, It's been winding me up for years why this happens to me, Surly there's not a setting that just takes out anything with a pound sign or something. In matt's reply I see this, I've just highlighted and quoted, What do you and everyone else see if I may ask.
  19. OK, Can I just ask, Not anything to do with the bodyshell, But I don't know if this is just my end, But I did ask this a few years ago, But I would assume that these 3 quotes I have highlighted have a price at the end, So why do I get times were the price go's missing, I've had this for years, How can 3 separate posts in the same thread all have the price missing of the end, Dose my head in. Sorry for going right off topic, Just need to know if it's just me and my end of if anyone else gets this.
  20. You really only have 2 options, 1, You pick up a RTR like you have, Change a few things here and there, Go out and let your driving do the rest, 2, You pick up a kit for the price of a small semi detached house in Newcastle, Maybe change a few bits, Go out and let your driving do the rest. At the end of the day there is no option 1.5, It will come down to you and your driving in the end, And no amount of fancy alloy or a 2° adjustment on the front camber will change that. If your starting out, You want to come last riding an Apollo mountain bike wearing jeans jumper and sandles, Not riding a £10,000 Felt full carbon road bike and squeezed into a gimp suit 3 sizes to small. But if you come in the top half.
  21. I think it's just to make Corally's life easier, Remember it's sold as a RTR, So your average Joe picking one up for the first time won't know the difference between the dif being filled with grease, Oil or water, But what there not gonna get is a puddle of oil in the box witch sends them running to the phone and a warranty claim.
  22. Unless they assumed with it being a Dragster the weight would be kept off the front enough the not warrant the brace, So much for R&D, And testing.
  23. Got what you may ask, Well, In thinking of getting another chassis, I thought of what I could get shot off to off set the cost, Sitting here I have a SWorkz S350 with just a motor and no ESC, Thing is, For some reason that I can't put my finger on, I just don't like it, Why, It's just a Buggy like any other really, Why do I hate that but love the S3, Why did I hate my HPI Lightning Stadium Pro, But loved my Hong Nor CRT Pro before I sold it. So the question is, Has anyone else got a car in there collection that they just don't like, And have no idea why they don't like it, Cos I can't tell you why I don't like the 350.
