    Anyone have experience with DXF batteries? 8000mah 4s on amazon atm for £53. I was goin to get a couple of CNHL ones but seen a few vids lately of them bursting into flames!

    I think people have been steering clear of them coz of some of the ****posting/slating vids on youtube. Yes i had a bit of a strop when i first got mine coz it broke ridiculously fast but since the new hubs it's been on par / better than my Hyper VS which took an absolute pasting. If you can get one for around £300 they are an absolute bargain and insanely good / fast / fun for the money. I would snap SWF's up just for spares but can't afford it with christmas coming. His really is a steal and i'm surprised no one has ripped his hand off yet!

    I do like all the improvements and upgrades they are bringing out and how fast they are coming now but it's getting expensive. I've already upgraded a bit like the drive cups and stuff but looking at everything else i want it's close to £200 lol I imagine it will be a pretty bullet proof rig after the upgrades though

    Everything is still straight and tight on mine, no other problems or issues since fitting the new hubs and everytime i take it out i'm jumping over 8 feet and backflipping it so it's taking a good amount of abuse. Even after horrific landings that should have destroyed something it just shrugs it off apart from when i land on it's front which is when the diff cases are breaking i think. It's obviously my fault but like i said i'm hoping the tower brace can help with that or i need to get better at landing 😂😂 I think mines gonna stay parked up for a month or 2 now, not that i don't want to go out with it, it's just too bloody cold at the minute haha

    Ok cheers, I think i'll wait til they are in the UK, I'll drop CML an e-mail and ask if they know when they are coming! I need the brace, i've broke 3 diff casings in exactly the same place now so hoping it will help lol 😁

      These lot are round my neck of the woods, in person they seem really nice - and @turok007is right, they're doing well. When I asked how they coped with lockdown, their answer was busier than ever lol...

       

      I only have bought simple bits from them and never needed CS so I can't comment how they are on that front!

      RC shops have short memories, pre-pandemic they were all crying they were on the verge of extinction due to online stores.  Now, they sell out out of overpriced Arrma stuff as soon as they get any stock.  Give it year and we'l see how many people are able and willing to spend 700 quid on a 1/8 RTR 😆

    Yea it is, If i had £200 atm i'd have this just for spares alone. Anyone in the market for an awesome, pretty rugged Truggy get on this, it's a bargain!!!

    That does help thanks, that's probably what's happened as it's the only part damaged! I've ordered a couple of different ones as they were cheap enough so I'll try it with the ones that have a couple more holes in them first 😉

    It must have pulled out too far then, I don't think it would have done it by bottoming out as i've got quite a lot of preload on it to stop it chassis slapping

    Managed to shatter the plastic discs inside both the rear shocks today backflipping onto concrete at a skate park, Do you think i've got too much preload on the rear shocks or is it just coz of landing from 20 foot onto concrete that's done it? I'm not bothered as it gave me a reason to order the spring steel drive cups aswell lol 😁 I'm just wondering how it could have happened as i've not had it happen before on my previous cars so want to prevent it from doing it again. I've not bent either of the shafts and all the seals are still intact so i'm guessing it's just from slapping down on the concrete?! 🤷‍♂️ As much as i loved my Hyper i have no regrets selling it and buying the XTR, after the annoying start this thing is epic now with the new hubs, it takes such a hammering and keeps going it's great!!

    I'm surprised you're managing to bend it, I used to beat the absolute 💩 out of mine at a gravel bmx track jumping 20+ feet in the air with some horrible landings sometimes, never bent the chassis or any driveshafts and only ever broke a front arm and hinge pin!!

    No mate, I get where you're coming from and i appreciate the caution of me getting ripped off. Looking at them closer a fair few do look like cheaper models, there's a couple of ansmanns' in there and some chinese stuff so i think i'll give it a pass anyway. They have been on there for a while and there's another guy near me that buys/sells/trades RC's so if they were any good i'd have expected him to have snapped them up by now. Ah well worth a try 😁

    Well he hasn't got a clue about RC's or what he has got and neither do i tbf lol I might ask to go and have a look and see if i can get individual pictures to identify some of them. I think if i could get it for about £400 there's 11 cars which i reckon must be worth at least £40 each so i could probably get my money back but it's whether it's worth the hassle 😁

    Stuck a 40mm rocket fan on the motor and got a 35kg ecoboost servo and run it on 7.4V BEC now and the thing is brilliant! Slate the chinese stuff all you want but this servo is so smooth and quiet. The hottest thing on the car after a run now is the batteries 😂

    Well the new blocks are great, Have been driving it like i did the Hyper and not broken anything (yet). I think if anything goes at the mo it will be the front top arms, need to get the slop out of them, i'll get a bit of brass tube from B&Q to fill the void in there. The carbon inserts for the tower braces seem to do there job aswell, had to make my own out some heat pressed carbon as corally have no stock but i've had some horrible landings on the back and the driveshafts still straight lol. Now the block issue is seemingly fixed it really is an epic truck and well worth what i paid for it! Extremely happy with it. Just need some higher capacity batteries now 😁

    I bought a steering brace and the blocks too, they should be here today 😁 they threw in the service pack one for me aswell, so atleast the cost of postage was a bit more worth it
