      My batteries arrived today. These seem to be re-branded Turnigy lipos. They are exactly the same size and weight and even have the same moulding error in the plastic case. Not complaining about that because my Turnigy packs have always been excellent 👍

  5. Anyone with a Hyper MT Plus 2 on 6S, Can i have your durability opinions on it? Regular (1-2 times a week) 10-12 foot jumping durability? Selling my Kronos XTR atm and thinking of getting one to replace it with!

      I've seen all his vids on it lol and I just really like the look of the MT. Don't get me wrong the Kronos is great but most of the mud tracks near me have either been closed off, turned into houses or demolished and speed running across fields isn't really my thing. The only place really near(ish) to me now is a gravel BMX track that isn't maintained and a couple of abandoned quarries which are too rough for the XTR. I think with this i'll be able to take it anywhere and not worry too much about it.

      I was looking at these before buying the XTR but couldn't afford the extra £300 or so at the time and i've seen probably 2 for sale second hand in the past 6-7 months so they can't be too bad if people aren't selling them!

  6. RTR Team Corally Kronos XTR 6S - 2021 (2022 spec) – 1/8 truggy - £480, PP fees and delivery included in the price. For sale is my 2021 Kronos XTR that I’ve had since new in September last year. It will come with a Hobbywing Max8 ESC (with program card) and 2200kv motor which currently has the stock 13T pinion on it but will come with a 15T hardened steel pinion aswell. Has a brand new 25kg DSServo and DumboRC TX and Gyro enabled RX. There’s also a 40mm aluminium case high RPM Rocket fan on the motor and a 25mm one in the ESC. The truck now has everything upgraded to the 2022 version so it’s basically the new 2022 apart from the new 4mm shock pistons which I couldn’t get hold of (have a pack of standard ones for spares). (2022 spec list https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/corally-kronos-xtr-6s-2021-18-monster-truck-lwb-roller-chassis-1336166 ) This also comes with an Arrma wing, rear carbon fibre tower brace inserts and a single wheel wheelie bar. It did break a few weeks ago as it is plastic (alu ones can be bought) but I’ve reinforced it with some 6082 T6 Aluminium and it’s held up quite well so far. I have replaced the front steering links with the plastic one piece ones as the turnbuckles kept breaking on the metal ones and had no issues since putting the plastic ones on, there is also a brand new pair included in the spares. All the drive cups are upgraded to spring steel, 7075 steering brace and the new tower to tower brace. The shocks have Arrma hard springs front and rear and were serviced with new oil (700CST) last week and all the seals were checked. All 3 diffs have been serviced today (13/04/22) and they were thoroughly cleaned and oil replaced, They still look brand new and it won’t be run again until you own it. The rear has 30k, Centre 500k and front 50k. I’ll include the oil have left if you wanted to switch them around. The shell is a fair bit scratched up and battered but it’s still in one piece and fine for bashing around. I do have a full decal sheet if you want to replace the stickers on it. The Front and rear skid plates have a fair bit of scratches but everything is straight on it and the chassis is 9/10 condition with only a couple of extremely light scratches on it. Also included is a SkyRC T100 dual charger and 2 nearly brand new CNHL 8000mah 4S batteries (less than 2 months old and were £125) This is a full package and you don’t need anything else other than a couple of tools. Charge it up and away you go. As you can see in the pics it comes with a large amount of spares including shock pistons, replacement 7075 front upper deck, hubs, front A arms, All the original drive cups still in 8/10 condition, Original springs, bearings, screws etc etc etc. It will all come packed in the original box but may have to send 2 packages if it all doesn’t fit. It was only ran on 4S which was enough for me and these are absolutely mental on 6S. It is an awesome bit of kit and been quite reliable. I will sell with no electronics for 360 with all the spares but would rather it go as an entire package. Any questions or specific pictures drop me a line.   7. Any tips and tricks to getting the ESC screws that keep the fan/lid on to catch a thread when it can't anymore? Got a loose one on my max8 and couldn't find anything on good ol' Google.

      Superglue the screws in, they will still break free if you need to remove them 

  8. Anyone use CNHL packs? Seen a few reviews on youtube but you never know if they're getting "paid" to do it. Thinking of getting 2 8000mah 4S packs as they're only gonna cost me about £80 after i've sold my 2S packs!

      Yes, I have 4 120c 4900mah Shorty packs that I use in my race buggy, always balance well and have plenty of punch, much better that the two eBay specials I bought too

  10. Managed to fix it. Factory reset the ESC and redone the throttle endpoints and it seems to be fine now (so far). Must have just decided to take it out on me for putting it in storage for 4 months 😆 Thanks guys!
  11. Not changed anything other than changing punch from 4 down to 3. I've just factory reset the ESC and reset the endpoints on the TX and changed the TX batteries and got it out on 1 more pack before it got dark and it didn't cut out once so fingers crossed. I'll get it out with both packs of batteries tomorrow and see if it does it again.
  12. Well i haven't got a flippin clue what's up with it. Checked all the wires and solders last night and they are all fine. Took it out on front earlier and was blasting up and down the road for about 15 mins which is about right right for the 5200's but it cut off acceleration twice in 15 minutes and no idea why. There's no high temp cut off for the motor and the ESC is 30 degrees max, Turn it off and on again and it's fine for about 5-7 mins then cuts off again! Has my ESC gave up the ghost?
  13. Just took it out again after taking the cap pack off and it's still cutting out after a few mins and no LVC, smells like burning electrics aswell so must have a split in a cable somewhere! Ugh, time to strip it 😥
  14. The Corally stuff comes with them on as standard and on the facebook group they said give it a go so i did. Just took it off now and waiting for batteries to charge again so i can try it again. At least my soldering skills are improving 😂
  15. Sorry been busy all week. Checked all the joints and they are fine, I use XT90's. Managed to get it out on the front today and the 5200's lasted for about 7 minutes, same as the 6200's. It has only started doing this since installing the cap pack on so i'm going to take it off again and try it again. At a guess i'd say it's either the cap pack glitching it out or there's a break in the ESC wiring somewhere making it short out and stop. I'll take the ca pack off first and see if that makes any difference. I am running it on higher BEC voltage but even then i was before putting the cap pack on and i got my usual 20-25 mins out of each set of batteries so god knows what's gong on! 😆
  16. I'll have to check it tomorrow. Going to put the 5200 through it again aswell as i haven't used them since it started glitching out on the 6200's, so it may not even be the batteries. Could even be a split in a wire somewhere making it go a bit nuts. Had a similar issue before when the signal wire from esc to receiver had a split in it on my previous FTX. I'll strip it down a bit tonight and check all the wires.
  17. I charged them today and used them 10 mins after and they did exactly the same, lukewarm when I turned the car on 😟 running up and down the road they last about 10mins before LVC. I noticed they kept cutting power from the start aswell and I had to come to a stop then "pull off" slowly and ramp up the speed to get it to full, if I just pull the trigger back to take off hard it goes off at like half speed and then I'll stop a sec then full trigger and it's fine. Slow down, full trigger, half speed etc etc. I reckon the batteries must be done coz no problems with the 52's
  18. Yea I always put them into storage charge, most of the time within an hour of being used. They always get balance charged before use aswell. It's just weird they have died so quick i think i've only had them about 5 months. I only put the cap pack on as someone suggested it on a corally group on FB but i'm guessing it's more for 6S. I can't tell any difference really so I'll take it off and see what happens i guess!
  19. No i've only the Kronos 😕 my mate sold his car for christmas money aswell so don't know anyone i can test it with. I've not used a cap pack before but surely it shouldn't drain the battery twice as fast and i thought it would affect the 52's aswell if that was the case! Although taking a bit longer to balance charge they are still balancing out fine so no idea why they are discharging so fast!

So i've not used my car for about 3 months and took it out yesterday for it's first run of the year with the cap pack freshly installed on my Max8, I have cheapo goldbat 2s batteries (pairs of 5200 and 6200) in series and the 5200's are fine and last for about as long as they should but the 6200's are only lasting about 5-10mins on a mix of road and grass where i used to get a good 25 ish mins out of them. I'm still getting 20 mins or so out of the 5200's. As far as i can see on my charger (SkyRC T100) the 62's are still discharging to 3.4ish V per cell when LVC kicks so i don't know why they are discharging so fast. Could the cap pack cause this or do you think the batteries are just knackered? I did check them to make sure they were still up to storage charge every couple of weeks when not in use. Is there a way to test if they are in fact screwed? I did do a resistance test on the charger aswell after hitting LVC and they read on 1 battery 10.2 and 1.3 and the other is 4.5 and 1.4. I'm still not that clued up on batteries but i have took care of them. Could they have just killed themselves? I just wondered if the cap pack could cause it but have zero issues with the 5200 batteries.
