  1. FINALLY!!! - But I had to go and get it myself. Flysky FGR4S RX. Now I can go and play with my NB4 + Xray...you can see why I was getting impatient! 🤣
  2. My posties brought me a whole box of disappointment… Basically they couldnt be bothered today it seems 🤣🤣🤣
  3. I know I keep banging this drum, but for hand tools you really cannot go wrong with Wera drivers and nut drivers. For power tools as mentioned the MIP set is great. I have the Hudy set and if im honest they are just as good as the MIP stuff but massively overpriced. Arrowmax stuff is nice too.
  4. The Corally is great. Traxxas edges it for me as the parts have better availability and aftermarket support.
  5. See i like to say that about baldness since losing my hair in my early 20s. Saves so much faff thinking about styles and going to the barbers. Set of clippers…im done ☺️
  6. ohhhh yes. My ol man always taught me with tools that you buy cheap you buy twice.

    RX gyro.

Ok try this. Hold the car by its rear and front facing the floor. Wiggle the car side to side. Which direction are the wheels going if you move it left and right? Left and the wheels should move to the left. Right and the wheels should move to the right. Ideally what you want to see is the wheels are always facing the ground as you wiggle the car side to side. Go to 1:58 to see what i mean - If they are doing the opposite then that is your issue. Your car slides and instead of the car turning into the slide it turns out of it and you spin or lose control. To resolve this you should be able to reverse the gyros direction. That should solve it. Regarding gyro positioning you want it as centred to the cars centre axis as possible i believe to get the best results. I have mine slightly forward and to the right as driveshaft through the middle and rx is boxed in.
  8. Ohhhhhh we were joking! You dont want to buy that junk!!! Joking! Nice haul. Have fun 👍👍
  9. Now I cant tell you about how to get other springs as im not so familiar with the model as others might be. Silicon tube or nitro fuel tube will do the job. Plenty of vids out there explaining how to 👍
  10. Are you just building another Tamiya secretly @Kpowell911?
  11. Another Renault! Picking up the "Baked Bean" (as my daughter has nick named it) tomorrow.
  12. I feel you there @Lone-wolf. Anything longer than 4mm and im trying to scratch my face off. Have tried many a time but it just gets to a limit where I cannot take it anymore. Hats off to you beardy fellows.
  13. Well you say you are bottoming out on the front. By adding stiffer springs you will increase the spring rate. This will mean you need more force to compress the springs meaning less chance of bottoming out. By adding a bump stop then this will limit the travel of the shock meaning it will cushion the hit rather than the body of the shock, also limiting the bottoming out.
  14. Skate parks will kill cars. No amount of reinforcing a body will make it last. Concrete + Plastic + Speed = RC Death ☠️
  15. Personally i found the stainless to be super soft and no good at all for what I wanted it for. I ended up going for hardened steel From elsewhere.
  16. Yeah I just looked. That is really expensive and not very attractive. I expected about £200 but £300 is a little on the steep side. Nice idea. Poorly executed.
  17. Another Royal Mail rant.

It's amazing how China can get a package that is in the middle of nowhere from one side of the country to the other in about 24-48 hrs. Sort it. Stick it on a plane and it is in the destination country in about 5-6 days from being sent out.

Then it arrives in the UK. Takes a couple of days to clear customs. So fine. But then sit in Royal Mail distribution centre for 10 days.

We tried both Hello Fresh and then Gousto - Gousto had much better quality produce, and the recipes for the most part appeared more interesting, though that's subjective. We like Gousto better, we're now probably 1000 (a thousand) recipes in, cooking daily for 3 years ish. Got like 8 recipe books filled already. 😄

Your postman sounds a lot like mine, ex SAS who for some reason thinks it's their job to complete their entire rounds without being seen, setting off smart doorbells, or noticed by anybody they are supposed to be delivering mail to.  It's quite a skill, I'm shocked that the armed services would let people so skilled at going undetected during daylight hours when everybody is out and about.

  18. Dam. I was on my way to fish out an X-maxx
  19. Back when i used to build models I used to use foam card and build it up like a elevation map. Then I would used Tetrion with a little sand added in. Was really great stuff if anyone is interested. Or good old chicken wire and papiermache. In fill with newspaper. Let dry. Smother with Tetrion. Paint grey and then dry brush with light and dark grey. Few model railway bushes and trees and you are done.
  20. You dont need to put a hole in the body. Add a little heat to the antenna tube and bend it so it fits within the body. Job done. Obviously do not do it with the antenna in the tube.
  21. About the same here... What kicked it all off for me back in late 80s. Was really happy with it but so wanted to build a car. In the next following years paper round money funded picking bits up, salvaging parts and ended up with a Madcap/Astute hybrid that was pretty rapid (for the time).
