  1. Sone chassis mounted Amass XT60 connectors. there’s a few more too, I know I’m easily pleased!
  2. Makes a change from your usuall bright colours 😁
  3. Id be intrigued to know how you get on with quality, fit and ultimately effectiveness of the brass KPowell.
  4. Is it right the Traxxas LED run at 3V? If true will a Traxxas light and a3V Dc-Dc convertor let me use standard futaba plugs for power off non-Traxxas ESC and reciever?
  5. @Redback that trailer body works bloody well on the back there 😎
  6. Cheers for the encouragement, your build was one of my reference points 👍 I have watched both series of videos, SBG is how to do YouTube, Harley is how to hover over fast forward….. that Exocaged guy is good though, I like him and he has some TRX4 videos that are worth a watch. Maybe I will spend my bodyshell funds on some fancy beadlock’s then!
  7. About a year ago I almost bought a proper Crawler, but then reason dawned and I thought I’d buy a cheap truck to see if I even liked crawling and trailing. That was a Maverick Scout, which gained a dusty old stock Radshape chassis and mutated into the FrankenScout It gave me an idea what I wanted, and how I might use an RC. It just needed to be lighter, more agile and without the dreaded torque twist. I also learnt not all tyres are equal, not all diameter tyres are equal either. So it gave me a blueprint of what might work. I also knew I wanted to build it. The SSD Trailfinder and the Gmade Buffalo were strong contenders, how ever I keep everything for ever and stick to the “buy the best of the obvious” In 10 years time TRX-4 bits will be everywhere still, Gmade maybe and the Trailfinder no chance, I’d be cobbling bits of SCX10 to it to keep it alive. So after much deliberation I picked the simplest TRX on locked diffs. Then ordered loads of trinkets for it 🤣 What’s in the tightly packed box! More to come as more parts arrive - Hobbywing 1080 and Holmes Hobbies Trailmaster are here already, but I will start the build when everything else ordered turns up. I’m still on the fence about the tyres because I’ve found the stock Canyon ones very good, but I want BF Goodrich written on my sidewalls 🤭 and the bodyshell - pictured below - I just cant get over the fact it doesn’t have a “marque” badge on it, and of course hard body temptation rears its head…. except last week I counted I rolled the FrankenScout 5 times in an hour so Lexan (and reason) is likely to triumph! As the internet tells you, its true - the shell is much better proportioned in the flesh. However if you don’t want the boat anchor accessorises you are left with lots off holes! Traxxas could leave them unpunched on the builders kit couldn’t they? Further ramblings to follow!
  8. Cheers Modelsport 👍 Unlike @tomr it won’t be built before it gets dark tonight! I also grabbed one of the dirt cheap £12 Kyosho black cans - oh which no decent pictures appear on the internet. Ideal for the Tamiya GT1 re-re I have where you can’t see much motor or the label, but a silver can looks cheap (I might be crazy though!) through the chassis. Might work in a mud truck you know….
  9. Ah, of course I forget the size difference. Would these work? https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/various/tamiya-m-chssis-felge-im-porsche-fuchs-design
  10. That KG is crying out for the TT02 RSR fuch wheels 😎
  11. So today I bought TRX-4 sport kit and a 1080 from Modelsport…. added some Power Hd Servos and Holmes Hobbies motor from Asia Tees, a few bits from Rc Mart a 2 speed gearbox Jennys and a Bowhouse LCG tray from the states. I will wait till everything arrives and start in one go I think. I blame everyone, and I've not even started on RCbitz website yet 😂
  12. Would these do? https://www.jk-rc.co.uk/tamiya-tt-02-parts/tamiya-tt02-f-r-body-posts-p
  13. Hyacinth red is fabulous and the dearest bloody metallic option for paint…. Mines been a tough old bus, its an E250 and its petrol too, quite an unusual combination it turned out. Earns its keep as required too!
  14. Yep my experience with them too. They do the job, but I’d try everyone else first.
  15. When the local rangers build you a crawler track in the forest - either that or they were just copicing trees in the woods! Antique rig, wrong tyres, green logs and steady drizzle meant it took 20 minutes to clear this 2m long pile, and I loved every awkward minute of it 😆
  16. Somebody needs to make these plates for 1/10th Traxxas Nick 😉
  17. In an accidental twist Im poised to hit the PM button for @tomr fantastically priced Element when the Mrs pipes up “I thought you wanted to screw a Traxxas together” Tom your a bloody star - permission granted for a TRX4 🍻 I still think that your Element will be gone soon. None of this is helping Jack 😉
  18. That injora body looks terrible though, it has roof chop - look at the windscreen! Plenty of inspiration here too: https://www.asiatees.com/hard-rc-body-shell BTW does it need to be an Axial? https://rcbitz.com/rc-kits/ssd-trail-king-pro-scale-chassis-builders-kit-ssd00300-313mm-wb-ssd-rc-scaler/
  19. Do you get much of a tax or handling charge when ordering from Jenny’s?
  20. I really like that, I have some translucent red that I have never tried here, I ought to remedy that. M08 is a bit exotic for the KG 😎
  21. Try emailing CML? It’s not listed on there site, but it must exist! https://www.cmldistribution.co.uk/manuals?brand=FTX&page=3
  22. I reckon your all on commission from modelsport 😁 appreciate the input. So go big is the consensus then (and call you all @&!?* when the servos go pop!) I really like the Gmade’s but I figured spares for these will always be found years into the future.
