  1. Not sure mate but compare the part numbers for each model 😉
  2. Any of you guys used Plaza Japan recently? Any hidden costs at all....tax etc? Seem very good prices & postage.
  3. Ooh! Not far from me that mate.....do they have a regular thing there?
  4. Welcome to the forum and welcome back to the hobby 👍
  5. I tend to read only in the winter months. Then I read mostly autobiographies or true life stories. Being a big motorcycle racing fan, the last book l read was Shane Byrne's autobiography "unshakeable"......which confirmed my opinion of him as a "bighead" 🤣.
  6. Nothing RC related....socks, jumper, t shirts...smellies! But, a lovely heated body warmer for when I'm out with the dog or car(s) 🙂
  7. Just noticed the hpi logo in the tyre tread pattern! 🤣
  8. Yeah, nowt wrong with that approach....see if you like it first 👍
  9. Hi and welcome to the forum. Personally out of them my choice would be the MT10, followed by the Maverick but you could ask 10 different people and get 10 different answers 🤔
  10. I've always liked these but I don't think I'll ever get one...you would maybe use it once a year in England...maybe!!!
  11. Haha 😄 I'm the same mate....l buy things I like but may not use much, I've 3 nitro trucks sitting on the shelf...haven't run them for ages but I can't even think of selling them 😅
  12. Have you had a look at the outback 3 ? If you want something for trailing rather than rock crawling then it's worth a look. The outback is fairly lite so the 390 motor has plenty of torque for a rig that size. You could upgrade later as and when with metal wheels (outback 3 has stronger axles) , different shocks or shock oil. As a starter it's good little car IMO.
  13. I had the 10428 (Ripmax version) some time ago....in fact still do (in bits) ! Yeah, it was OK....swapped the electrics out, as you say...bit naff. Was a bit top heavy so l moved the battery down low & as I could only get a 2200 in there, I stacked another one on top so I could just unplug one for the other when one ran out. Lots of articulation with them so they cope quite well with most terain. For the money, I think that they are quite good for a bit of fun 😉
  14. Avoid the cheap ones you find on eBay and amazon.....they are cheap for a reason ! Having said that, I have a goolrc one in a blitzer beetle and not had any problems with it...but maybe I was lucky! If you can afford it go with the hobbywing range, can't go wrong IMO 👍
  15. Not unless I go a bit more quackers than I already am !!! 🤣
  16. If you've still got the plastic wheel hex's fitted, just make sure that your wheel nuts aren't too tight as it can cause some binding, putting extra load on the motor.
  17. Someone has to pick up the bill......Santa's not real you know!!! 🤣
  18. You can use a Y lead to run front & back lights 👍
  19. Yeah, looks like a Pulse...Nice condition too 👍
