  1. Okay here is where im at, the hi trail IS expensive at just shy of £200 however, for a scale rig seems it dont need much doing to it has oil shocks and decent tyres, a good size battery as for gears for now the main one might be a metal low ratio gear set, and for a person like me that adores F-150`s it does look the part, so yes its back in the running, and if i buy a Traxxas i will have even more rights to slag it off ha ha
  2. Gaz, this is the kind of reply i was looking for, proper info on whats what with these models.........maybe its back in the running time will tell
  3. cheers mate, it does seem a cracking little 1/18, crawls real slow in low gear and hustles in high gear, the portal axles give it good ground clearance for a little guy
  4. This has been out a little while now and seems the people that have it really like it
  5. top man that vantage is really getting quick, i can see you getting the ton out of it at some point, try and find a better road area to wind it up
  6. These look ace but all i see on FB groups is plastic diff gears stripping, metal upgrades are available but at a cost
  7. good to see HPI back in the crawler/trail truck market
  8. must get round to listing the wifes brushless outlaw
  9. Cracking little crawler drives really well just need to get it to a decent venue now
  10. I am hearing the TRX4m has plastic gears in the transmission and some sort of "synthetic material" gears in the axles, also when these first came out seems the telescopic shafts can fall apart, so based on this i am going to pass on this model
  11. should turn out great well done on getting this, tip for painting place rattle can in a jug of warm water for 10 mins to warm contents and this will help with the smoke paint, also with the smoke do a light coat let it dry and see how it looks before maybe adding a second light coat
  12. Looks very good, nice truck
  13. Very reluctant listing for my Blitzer beetle, this was a lovely Tamiya to build i fitted a 20 turn brushed motor so its pretty quick and it has an ISDT70 ESC, this has XT60 connector, the car drives well, its smooth and handles good helped by the stock oil dampers, as you can see i fitted chrome wheels and front tyres are road pattern (have stock ones with it along with stock orange wheels) i fitted DT-01 front axles to narrow the track (again stock axles with it) Will come bundled with an Element rc radio, or i can leave the Flysky RX in for you to bind to some light bad points had a broken mirror that i have glued and paint is not great, also the bluetooth on the ISDT70 seems to not work but the esc works just like a normal one the beetle has stock Tamiya pinion fitted but i have a hardened one to go on just not fitted Price is £120 shipped, all you need to do is add a 2S lipo post will be Evri economy Only selling to free up some room
  14. Good review, the MJX trucks are very tough and pretty darn fast, wish they would make a 1/10
  15. If i get a hi trail F-150 it wont be for a little while as i need to sell some stuff and still looking at other options like axial UTB18...just seems with all these smaller trucks you end up spending same again in various hop ups
  16. Yeah super cool and at a push i could just afford it but for me its storage so i wont even consider it also its a bit niche and would not get much use as it would struggle where i run my trucks
  17. Here in the UK we do get stung on price i guessed at £749....was £10 under , im sure it will be a good model but as always not one for me
  18. nice run and like wombat said the circuit board could be waterproofed
  19. UK rc people get shafted i guess this will be £749, not that it will worry me
  20. Thanks for replies, I should point out I am genuinely considering the blue F-150 hi trail 4m, you will all know of my dislike of the company but thisittle truck really does look super scale. I don't mind the bronze bushing as it's a crawler not a speed runner, I have a little issue with paying about £25 for light kit when most companies fit as standard. Will be giving it some thought and still need to sell the Blitzer
  21. I am trying to see what the good points and bad points on trx4m is out of box, stock, seem to remember the prop shafts were prone to fail, and am i right these run bronze bushes from stock? are the stock electrics decent?
  22. Oh god here we go again ! ! ! Im looking at getting another small crawler, the Axial UTB18 capra is looking favourite but the Traxxas TRX4m Hi Trail F-150 is also a a stunning scaler in the looks department, so i has a question what are the good points and what are the bad or problem points with a TRX4m
  23. I think i will pass on this one.............i dont have a nectar card
