If you are planning on using Honcho body with the kit gearbox you will need to cut the body and mod the cage a little. I can get you a picture if needed.
Has anyone had any issues with ring and pinion gear mesh in the axles?
My Bom kit has fairly rough gear mesh. I have stripped and reassembled. I have got it a little bit smoother, but I'm not 100% happy with it.
It gets quite smooth when all four bolts that hold the third member are backed off a couple of turns. Which shows the mesh is to tight. And the caps which hold the diff in position are not done up tight.
I run a 4000kv Xerun motor in my yeti. Tried it on 3s, plenty of speed.
I had to change the stock front springs to the longer 70mm springs, blue I think.
And upped the front shock oil to 40 wt.
I had same problem when I tried some different wheels. Used a thicker wheel hex. Think they are off a slash 4x4.
Gave it just enough clearance.
I gave these fastrax wheels and tyres ago.
I do enjoy his bashing videos. He really does beat the crap out off them.
It's good to know how much abuse the RC's we all spend our money on can actually take.
