  1. The body looks amazing imo. You get to take your time with the paint and get a really good finish. I am tempted to get one of these. The seperate bed makes it look so much better than the RTR. Look what i found on youtube "DROOL" 😎
  2. Build a Full Pickup or Cab Only Truggy, You Decide! Carisma Scale Adventure are proud to announce Item:16282, a new variation on our successful and fully licensed 1976 Ford F-150, but now in a 2-Piece 'Half Cab' design. This will allow end users and custom builders to create full 324mm Flatbed based build, or a Cab Only Cageback or Truggy Build, or with a little ingenuity with the Lexan scissors, a combination of both styles. This item will replace the original 324mm Clear F-150 body (Item:15988), and that will be discontinued. We feel offering the LWB body in this configuration will be more versatile for all involved and ensure that creativity when building a Ford based rig isn't restricted in any way. The body will be supplied with all the usual Injection Moulded and Chromed Scale Detailing as before, with LED Light Buckets front and rear, the Mounting Hardware to bolt both sections together, and comprehensive Instructions and Decal Sheet (with window tints). https://carisma-shop.com/products/sca-1e-1976-ford-f-150-half-cab-2-piece-clear-body-set#

  4. You want JConcepts Fling Kings on a chassis of your choice. Axial SMT10 appears to be popular. Go brushless as the mud will kill a brushed motor in one outing. Be prepared for lots of maintenance on the bearings.
  5. +1 for GT85. Great stuff, smells nice (to me anyway) and leaves a nice sheen.
  6. I have one their white tough bodies. I have seen a few people on youtube crack them on the first impact. Hopefully these hold up better.
  7. I bet this guy will be happy to never see another lego brick again:
  8. Some droop screws which won't gouge my chassis and some rock sliders for the scx10ii.
  9. It certainly looks nicer than the first version. Videos I have seen make it look like a great RC. There's only one way to find out if it's worth it.
  10. I found the same with my recent build. I shimmed the pinion gears to remove float and it no longer grabs the crown gear.
  11. Put the finishing touches on my scx10ii raw builders kit. It's a Scx10 iii body and has TRX4 shocks (need tuning, they're a bit stiff). Basic electronics but should do the job.
  12. As mentioned you can either key it by giving it a light sand, or strip it off. I have used oven cleaner and it came off pretty easily. Just be careful as it's nasty stuff.
  13. Inspired by the classic pick-ups from the 1940’s and 50’s the new FTX Texan blends old school retro looks with the latest in RC crawler chassis design. The classic cab body features scale exhaust stack, external airfilter, moulded grill, mirrors, wipers and a moulded flat-bed rear roll cage with spare tyre, they have even included two different decals for the rear flat bed, choose either a panel wood or checkerplate finish. The Texan features no body clips or posts, with a magnetic fixing at the front and hinged rear for smooth, uncluttered scale looks and easy, quick chassis access. Underneath the Texan features a low profile, cantilever rear shock absorber set-up to provide the platform for a flatbed rear assembly. Moulded internal wheel arch lining and side floors add further scale realism, along with beadlock wheels and dust cap. Aluminium CNC shock absorbers are standard front and rear as are dual rated front springs. With the battery pack mounted further forward and the motor and Etronix 15kg servo set directly over the axle, weight bias and climbing ability is greatly improved. The split transmission design allows for a lower centre CofG centre transmission that can help accommodate interiors, whilst the updated transmission design now rotates front and rear axles in a clockwise and counterclockwise direction to help reduce the effects of torque twist. The Texan promises to take your off-road trail adventures to the next level with so many features as standard. Features – 99% Ready-to-Run – 4ch 2.4ghz radio system – Hobbywing WP-1060 Waterproof ESC – Etronix 15kg metal geared waterproof servo – 550 brushed 17 Turn motor – 7.2v 2000mah NiMH battery & wall charger – Ball bearings – Twin rail metal frame chassis – 6mm steel multi-link suspension for smooth articulation – Steel CVA telescopic centre universal driveshafts – Steel CVA front universal driveshafts – Cantilever rear suspension for scale flat beds – Aluminium Oil filled shock absorbers – Metal axle & transmission gears – Front and rear high clearance locked axles – Side chassis and fender plates – Receiver box with external third & forth channel ports for additional electronic devices such as LED, sound module or winch – Split transmission system for better low-speed torque output – Lower C of G transfer case to accommodate interiors – Transmission slipper clutch – Raised chassis mounted steering servo & panhard bar – Front mounted motor for better weight bias – Beadlock scale styled wheels – Supersoft high grip all terrain tyres – Scale styled front & rear bumpers with shackles & factory fitted LED lights – LED Rear brake light & front fender spot lights – Scale inspired retro cab body and flatbed rear cage & moulded accessories Source: https://www.redrc.net/2020/10/ftx-outback-texan-1-10-trail-rtr/

  15. Postie brought this today. It was a toss up between this and the SCX10 III.
  16. I built this yesterday and gave it a run today. Very impressive. 3000kv brushless on 2s. Just need to stop the servo saver loosening.
  17. It depends on the specific ram and motherboard. You may be fine or you might have issues. I always match my ram. Have you looked into Vegas issues? A quick Google shows lots of people are having issues with stabilisation freezing.
  18. I'm guessing that's why it hasn't shown up in the competition section yet?
  19. I'd go for something like the Hobbywing 10bl60 or 10bl120. Then you can go sensored on the motor for smooth takeoff (no cogging). It won't be a waterproof combo but I assume you won't be taking this through water?
  20. I had a GoolRC ESC. It went up in smoke as soon as I plugged the battery in. The motors are ok but I agree that the ESCs are a lottery.
