Back on topic, I was surprised to find that the balance of trade US<>UK is pretty even : https://www.census.gov/foreign-trade/balance/c4120.html. In which case free trade shouldn't effect the balance if current rates are similar. It should encourage more trade vs with other countries / unions as prices would be more competitive.
The real problem is that there is no way we'll get free trade with the US and the EU at the same time, and our EU trade is worth a LOT more.. I think £240B vs $24B, so guess which one is more important to government?

And what did May do in this critical phase of foreign relations......appointed Boris Johnson as Foreign Secretary. The man who got that Iraqi woman an extra 5 years in jail by 'helping' .....
So who does she turn to when he bails hot on the heels of 'Brexit Minister' David Davis to avoid any responsibility for the disaster they have wrought....Jeremy Hunt. The man whose name is just rhyming slang......I expect. The man who did so much for the Health Service. He is a total Jeremy Hunt that one.
But lets look on the bright side. Boris got his job back writing a column or two ( estimated salary of £250K ), and along with the 74K he gets for representing Uxbridge ( unless he has to...you know...leave the country... when important things are happening) he has pretty much doubled his salary.

Sent paypal a 'stern' email. Had to cancel a transaction on ebay from an international buyer. It's ended up refunding more than I got paid initially. It's only a 20p difference but it's not the point I'm still out of pocket. If they do it to everyone often enough they're quids in. Prob exchange rates that cause it but it aint right

Ebay tossers, I am fuming!!! GSP sucks, BEWARE DON'T BOTHER!!! Sold an item through GSP to France. Item shows as delivered on the 7th. A case was opened on the 16th for "item not received". Just noticed payment was refunded on the 17th and case closed. I knew nothing about it! Contacting ebay themselves these days is impossible. They're going to get an absolute shafting from me when I can get on to one of those dribbling !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This type of method is called forward only shipping
You guys are aware that if you select international postage offered, and eBay quotes and books the gsp shipping for the buyer when they pay( which is the standard way it works)....then...
You as the seller, are only responsible to ensure it arrives at the gsp centre, once it arrives at the gsp centre you're liability ceases....it then becomes the liability of eBay.....as the contract of international shipment is between eBay and the forwarding courier ( because ebay quoted , charged and arranged courier from UK to gsp to buyers address overseas)
This is written into law, I personally have experience with dealing with this.
Just something to bear in mind for the future.....
P.s I've had gsp destroy 4 parcels of mine this year, automatically refunded each time, me and buyer.....i use myhermes for European/asia postage now, never had an issue despite posting to lots of obscure places

I dont use it either but stupidly didnt see once and it was a 1/8 on road body. I found out hes in Japan and said no thank you. Twice. But he was persistent bidding anyway. I even removed his bid once. He told me about gsp or i ship to uk they sort it.
Im glad i did it nowhe was very grateful and its cool its a kyosho Mitsubishi evo landmax body i imported from usa. Exported back to japan. Its been around the world in 15-20 odd years mayb.
But still switch it off when i remember but was a really positive experience.

10% off on ebay over £20. Code: PERFECTTEN . A load of nuts/bolts and a ballscrew ordered ?

3D printer query. Anyone willing to make me a holder ring for some 80mm angel eyes at some point?
What do you reckon a ball park figure cost would be? Checking before I get the light:
Basically need a ring with a channel in it made so I can hot glue the light into the channel.
Like in this vid:
Cheers.

Im against having a royal family.
I know the argument for keeping them. So i say evict them amd convert the royal places as true tourist attractions. Hotels leisure parks the lot.
People dont come to see the royal family they come to see the history that isnt even that royal families.
The BBC tracked down the true king of england. Hes a poor farmer with humpteen kids and 3x as many grand kids. Heir of henry the 8th. I think so.

Just the 2 RC's left. That's enough for me.

I knew cast aluminum parts were junk. Top Gear just proved it. That needs sorting Volvo
One crack and you're dragging your engine on the floor. That's the worst place to cheap out!

To be fair, an old Range Rover or Landy or Jeep would have taken that abuse absolutely no problem at all.
These modern cars, you get less and pay more, can't see the fascination with newer numbers on the reg plate myself.
Was surprised by the Stelvio too and by far the cheapest.
Could havce saved them 30k, buy an older Landy and have done with it

We all know they're ALL made in the same Chinese factory then bought here, re-badged and a stupid price tag slapped on.
My Turnigy is a SKYRC ultimate & an Antimatter & a Hyperion EOS etc.
Price difference of £80 to £160 approx.
Paid £65 for mine new. As a Hyperion it's £160:

Lasted 3 years so far.

Guns got the 4*100w for the £155 a while ago. The OHO one is the 4*50w.
Bit much now for the Prophets.
Like Ross said. Normally a couple of 300w Reaktors a coolice and couple of paras = done.
The 1000w is a decent price though and if you have a few lipo's that can be done together ie: the same then it makes sense.
I've got the Turnigy mega 1000 and the Reaktor 1000 and they've been solid for ages. None of this keep replacing the charger every 6 months because it needs to run flat out all the time.
I needed mine because I run 6s and each battery uses 125w to charge at 1C. Regularly do 4 which runs at 490w according to my psu. (I bought a Chargery S1500 before I knew about the cheaper options)
These things are also ideal for Xmaxx 8s owners
Bit tight on amps if you have 4*8000mah 4s. If you wire up 2 each line in series for 8s though

A little bargain for when we're out and about on a trip:
-
Well. I still can't get the mini mill right since the crunch. Getting a bit stressed out now. Still got miles of runout, stuff looks like it was cut with crocodile teeth Don't know what's wrong with the stupid thing.

Spindle itself reads 0.004mm internally so seems ok there. Might get some more bearings and re-do it again. Very strange that every time I do a collet up it throws out by upto 0.08mm leaving a wobbly edge on material after a finish cut. More or less a new head on the damn thing with all that's been looked at.
Putting a longer Z axis screw on today/tomor so I can trial these direct collets properly. If they're come out as bad then:
One last ditch attempt with it using a R8 spindle and chuck/drawbar from Arc. Upgrade on the table with bigger screws. I have all the stuff here ready except the chuck. Prob take me a month to fit up and if still not good enough for my liking give up & get rid.

This looks a neat charger. Does LI-HV as well:
Join it with this:
(The 24v 500w version) and you'll prob never need anything else. (well apart from making your cables) Not bad for less than £100 total.

Newer PC power supplies need resistors to balance the 5v rail, the 12v rails are a bit weak imo.
I had an old 350w one when I started out which was plug and play up to 10A no probs with 6s lipo's. Went on to a newer 600w version and the 12v rail went bang after 5 mins at only 10A.
Those Chinese power supplies only need a twin & earth 3 core cable to an AC 240v plug on the input then your 2 leads + / - to your charger.

They do drive like animals thinking ther immortal in them busses too. Many are eastern eu too so really dont give a crap in and out. I see them on the cops show always breaking rules. Not resting usually. To resting on slip roads or hard shoulders. Police just talk to them then wave them on.
Imagine how it must be on autobarns.

Damn. My 2TB mkv player is full! Damn you Eclipse computers for closing, I need a new drive

Lipo in mobility scooter? Sick of sla losing their capacity when not in use. Thinking 20,000mah multistar 10C. Normal scooter use is 5,000mah per hour. Doable do you think?

Yes mate. 24v. Don't think I'd pull 200A from it. Lion would be about 10x more expensive and the capacities aren't really there. Could get a rake of cheap 7.2 nimh's say 3300mah and tie them off 3 in series, 6 in parallel but then that's 18 of them needed for 19800mah. Hmmmmm. Large Lipo wouldn't be a prob as my charge system is pretty big. Might do a test when the weather gets a bit better tying off 4 of my current 6s 5000mah rc lipo in parallel with a LV alarm fitted.
-
Yeah there's no reason it won't work. Even with say one of your 5000mah if it's 40c or above then it's essentially the same spec as the 20000mah 10c for speed testing purposes and whatnot.
Got a part number on the motors at all? I would be very tempted to check the specs before potentially puffing a perfectly good 6s
-
For a high draw application like that your not just gonna be able to use one lipo.....the size of the cells of 1 batt are just too small imo
You'd be better off using a bank of cells, i.e. multiple 2/3s high c lipos linked up...... Then you can maintain a higher C discharge....(C rating drops when using one larger lipo) meaning longer run time etc etc
Bonus is 2/3s lipos are cheap too!
Along these lines below....these are for e bikes so some go up to 48v but you get the idea, same general principles
-
Totally broke.
-
Gave up on fixing it so ordered a new one Did some damage then. Must have tweaked the casting a fraction or something.
-
Spinal injections tomorrow. Hate them. I'll either walk out or come out in a chair. Oh well, needs must. Don't slip dude!!

Bearing just fell to bits. Inner part now stuck on the shaft. Oh joy.
