A couple of things a clone of a Tamiya bruiser yes it’s a clone but it’s £500 cheaper 👍 and my winter project going to do a super scale build so will be collecting bits over the next couple months for the build 😁

All I’ve done is put a couple of sticks on the stampede body and sharpie the front bumper silver not the best idea to use a sharpie but oh well looks ok when mounted 👍

Indeed it was the luckiest unlucky thing to happen to me though that’s pretty much my life in a nutshell 🤣

Ah ok I’ll have a look at the motors you linked I was planning on having a play with mine today but got distracted by detailing the car for nearly 5 hours 🤣 I’m not looking at silly speed so if you can run the 2 21t motors on 2s fine then that sounds like the way to go 👍possibly will get the adjustable motor mounts some time down the line as well

This one’s going nowhere near any large/deep body’s of water 🤣 to be honest I don’t think it’s going to last very long being on a the basher time will tell 👍

Painted the stampede body was going to do it the original colour that @Kpowell911 had the original body or bright red but as I had a spare tin of ps18 thought I’d remember my trx4 body shell that’s swimming with the fish’s 🤣

Are you running 1 motor or 2 ? as mine came with a copy of this https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/hobbywing-quicrun-0880-dual-motor-brushed-esc-80a-waterproof-440053 and I’m looking to upgrade the stock motors it says on 2s motor limit is 12t but if using 2 motors double it so can run 2 24t motors I believe the stock ones are 27t ? would that make much of a difference ? or would it be better to get the adjusted amount mounts to use different pinions gears?

No but I brought some 3d printed ones that won’t fit properly on the rear with the cage on so I drilled 3/5mm holes in the original back plate thing it’s just the soldering small wires where it’s going south 🤣

There goes that plan then 🤣 I’m on my 3rd set of making them up my self now and countless burns 😆

Can someone elaborate on this for me I’m trying to make lights up my self so far not going very well 🤣 I’m thinking of just getting these instead https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/traxxas-led-head-lights-tail-light-kit-for-trx-4-land-rover-425065 now has anyone got this set ? as all the traxxas light kits for the defender have the wrong light pattern on the front the top side lights appear to be orange I suppose because it’s an American company but the UK versions of the defender have white on top and the indicator on the bottom is that right on these light kits or is it just the pics ? also the kit linked has 2 connections 1 for power I assume but what about the other? would I be able to snip off the plugs and run them through the receivers 5v

Almost finished the new body not sure if the roof rack will stay just have a couple of bits to do and had a change of plans on the recovery theme I’m looking at doing a different build for that 😁 but I do have a problem the nice experience wheels I have will not play ball 🙄 I can get them to screw down tight now but as they stick out a bit on full lock the tyres want to rip the body off so have to use the original wheels until I can think of something 🤔

It was the original purple one that’s sleeping with the fishes 🤣 so the recovery themed one will take its place starting putting the bits and bobs on the new shell now so it’s nearly done but you best believe I’ll make sure to put the body somewhere safe when I’m out and about with it 🤣

I love mine to didn’t think I would but no I do 😁I don’t know how how simple the 2wd version is but the 4x4 is simple as can be 👍 the vxl system in mine doesn’t really like 3s the motor gets very hot haven’t used it for a couple of weeks now but I’m going to try it on a 2s next time
