Yeah I heard a similar story old chap but I fear you may have made a small hiccup with his new alias, I heard from good sources that he is infact now known as William or billy to his fellow bashers. Some say he has a limitless credit card and that his "toy room" is full of shelfers...... All we know is he's called BILLY BOTTLER!! ;-)2 points

Cheapest option is not to start it!! Joking aside, all proper tuned pipes are trying to extract more power, so will definitely make more noise. Standard pipe is probably your best option. Al.2 points

The cover I have is the FG wet weather cover. It's bigger than the filter which means while the air gets re directed, the full filter is still in play. It's the redirection that makes the difference to the induction noise, the engine gets enough air, it's just delivered differently.1 point

Interco IROK tires on this badboy, just watch out for the height though off the top of my head they are 118mm,so may rub the arches - I think (might be wrong),but the D110 needs about 108mm tyres similar to the Sawback?1 point

I would hate to think what I spend on my new race buggy last month, but who cares, I work hard, the bills get paid and the kids are well looked after1 point

25:1 is what...4% oil? Byrons/Opti Race use around 9-10% oil. Smokey blends like Modeltechnics cooking brand or Opti RTR use around 16% oil. I reckon you would need to run a higher percentage of oil, but go too oily and it would foul plugs. Also...the exhaust looked pretty smoke free. Who knows. I am sure Losi have done some endurance testing to see how durable the motor is. Hmm...no smiley for 'fingers crossed'1 point

Hi,if its same as my fg beetle, they are both zen engines, its the four bolts&2 screws, and it should pull off,on my beetle I had to loosen the engine mounts to get to the bottom bolt,i have an fg onroad, but not put a killswitch on it,but I would think they have the same bolts/screws as each other.Just had a look at mine, four caphead bolts &two Philips screws. I guess HPI must of spent most of their money on R&D for that savage, as clearly there was no budget left for a decent video of the thing...for an initial running video that's just annoying and hurts my eyes..do you need to cut to a different shot every 30 milliseconds?!1 point

Baby wipes are possibly the most amazing invention ever! apart from when your little angel does the almighty-est nappy filler ever, one of those ones which manages to creep up the front and back...you reach for the packet of wipes and there's none left ...a truly terrifying moment for any parent !1 point

If its 5 mins or less its still probably a bit on the rich side (no bad thing if its still a fairly new engine). Mine is a well worn in engine and I def get more than 5 mins a tank, I've never really timed it but it must be about 10. But yeah, twin tank is on my list. Got as far as ordering second tank to do it, and then whilst waiting for it to come through the post the filler lid slipped out of my hand whilst filling up and snapped back and split the neck of my original tank (I didn't notice the damage til I saw a fountain of nitro pissing out the side as I throttled away after filling up). So when it arrived in the post about 4 days later it just replaced the original - still just got one :-( That was last summer. Still not got round to ordering another. Might do it now.1 point

good luck finding a shop with this model, its been discontinued, the low price was likely to shift the old stock asap. if for what ever reason you get one of them, you can get spares from amain in the states, no uk stockists though as it was never given to the uk market, only america1 point

I would really recommend changing the screws in the front and back bumper assembly that hold the bumper to the bumper braces for longer ones and adding nuts on the end - especially if you don't have a cage (my cage strengthens the bumper a lot). The stock bolts are just long enough to go in the front of the bumper, and screw into the bumper brace behind it with the bolt finishing flush in the back of the brace. In a hard front or rear end smash the first thing to give way are these bolts - which just shear between the bumper and bumper brace every time. The end with the head comes out the bumper easy, the other end tends to shear off in the bumper brace without enough to grab onto to twist the little bugger out. So you need to buy a whole new bumper assembly for about1 point

Just had a play with it. It drifts really well! Very flat and plenty of power to get the wheels spinning. Will get a video up soon.1 point

Check out team associated MGT 8.0 when you are looking for spares and hop ups. Exact same truck under a different name and a lot more spares and hop ups about branded under team associated than there is for thunder tiger - widens your options massively. Alloy shock caps a definite. Stock ones are ok for general driving about, but as soon as you start landing a few jumps the stockers will start popping off. I ended up getting alloy shock bodies and bottoms too. No need to, the stock bodies are actually pretty good, i was just seduced by shineyness. Blue springs it comes with are ridiculously soggy, ok for a crawler maybe, but plop for something that heavy that nudges 40mph. Red springs are firm, copper are xtra firm. I put copper all round on mine and increased the shock oil from 40wt (stock) to 50wt due to the extra weight of below: The best thing I did was got a roll cage for it. Cost me1 point
