The flux warp 57000kv was in an earlier version of the flux so you could go with something like that. Generally the more poles there are the more torque the motor produces but not a necessity in a light 2wd drive model like the FS.1 point

4s in a firestorm is pointless, what are your temps like? could look at changing the gearing, or depending on your esc upgrade the motor.1 point

Took the FG MT out to give the pipe a good workout. Worked fine, then seemed less so, then ... a stranger noise .... Brought it back - as suspected, one of the new exhaust manifold bolts had come off .. and the Cu gasket swung down. Once (nearly) cooled, found a couple more bolts and added a little dab of threadlock on them - job's a gud'un! Finished off most of the tank, then came in. All power is back - good. Al.1 point

By removing the glow plug and pulling the pulstart......this way all you feel is how tight the piston is in the sleeve. Ask as many questions as you like.1 point

Too old? Pah! Age is a case of mind over matter, if you don't mind it doesn't matter. Besides, who headlined the Saturday night at Glasto this year? And what of Stirling Moss, Jackie Stewart, Jochen Mass etc who all drove quite rapidly up the hill at Goodwood last weekend. You buy your 5th scale and screw the haters. P.S. I'm 39 and have no intention of selling my RCs or indeed sticking to what I've got. New job = new toys1 point

Anything can have problems, but something as simple as putting a performance exhaust on, I'm pretty sure it's not possible on the Yama with how the engine is mounted stupidly. I remember Richard had a load of trouble trying to sort one and in the end he just had an extended piece of steel tubing from the looks of it, not exactly great added performance and looks horrible as well. Seriously, if it was my money I'd buy a brand new KM... But I'd love to have a go with a Yama, just to see for myself how weak they are.1 point

2s ( 7.4v ) lipo, anything around ~3500-5000mah & rated for 30C or higher ( continuous ). Check dimensions on lipos vs your buggy though, otherwise the lipo may be too wide or long to fit the battery tray..1 point

Bought a Cu gasket for the new FG-6299 tuned pipe installation. Arrived today. Fitted the pipe this evening - had a few problems with the tensioning springs!! Took the truck out to try - runs smooth and fast. It seems like the top end is slightly better, the bottom no worse than the old FG-6291 its replaced. Noise is similar - smooth and not too loud. Appears to have an extra 'harsh edge' to the noise. Al.1 point

Ain't it true... Thought I would be happy with one electric and one nitro? But after buying my son a Hyper7, I've started building a second one for me from the spares. Now I've ran out of spares I need to get on eBay in stealth mode to finish it1 point

As said, it's more useful to MT owners, but this guy's put a lot of effort into this. It's worth watching as it will give most of us a few good tips. Besides, his jumping skills are better than most! Enjoy!1 point

Chassis is the same. Only difference it's the extra plastic cage on the G3 and of course, the power plant. Later edit: now I noticed he was asking about the S2, not the S3, sry Dirtbag, you're right1 point
-
Seen an S2 in the flesh, looked like a nice peace of kit. They are a bit different to the S3 though. If I were you I'd go S2.1 point

I think it's better than the tomahawk. I don't know anything about this nitro car but I did owned the electric version of this car and it was brilliant. Take a look: http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/162436-my-thunder-tiger-eb4-g3-brushless-buggy/1 point
