dan91085
id get a summit over a savage any day, not as fast but the pulling power is awesome! Surely the summit would kill a savage in a pulling contest:?! Ive seen one on youtube pulling about 4 kids in a trailer lol! And they look to be built more robust. Personal preference though but the summit does it for me mate!

Barker
Mate get a savage and do this to it... https://www.tcscrawlers.com/images/D/PA120039.jpg https://www.tcscrawlers.com/images/D/PA120059.jpg Now you can finally drive your flux on 6S the way you want to, pinned! The TCS Crawlers Flux 5T chassis kit includes everything to convert your HPI Savage Flux to a 1/5 scale truck (minus a servo extension). Two separate mounting locations for stock battery trays (mid chassis and rear) and slots in TVP's allow for battery pack mounting inside the TVP's with straps. The truck shown has Savage XL tires and wheels that are not included. Shown below against a stock Savage Flux for size reference. HPI Baja 5T bodies will work on this truck (same wheelbase). 5T bodies can be used with the stock Flux body mounts (new holes need to be drilled in the body), but the extra weight of the body does slow down the truck and degrades handling. Baja 5B bodies have not been tested. Warning, use of this kit may void HPI's warranty; now you can actually use all that power Gearing down is recommended with this kit, especially with XL or larger tires (16/47 pinion/spur is a good start). HPI Super H/D Wide Axle (2) #86249 can be used to widen the truck. Kit includes: Chassis plates Long Driveshaft Delrin Windshield Brace Delrin Bulkhead Brace Chassis Spacers Hardware Required: HPI Savage Flux HP Truck Kit 6" or greater servo extension Specs: 8.65" longer than stock Stock Flux TVP's 1# 13.3oz, the new long 5mm plates are 2# 1oz. 5mm thick chassis Edited December 10, 2010 by Barker29
