Nick
Apparently Gmail in the UK is having to change because another company has the Gmail trademark for e-mail. Everyone with an account is changing from @gmail.com to @googlemail.com.
c0sie
What if I'm a UK user who already has a Gmail address? Will I also need to change that address? No, this change doesn’t affect existing Gmail addresses. For now, our plan is only to issue @googlemail.com addresses to new users. Trust that we will do the best we can to offer all our users a reliable and consistent email experience.

Hawkeye
Full story at http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/4354954.stm its a nice read infact, All the crap we dont see that these company's go through, at the end of the day i think gmail should be there international name, not some poxy germans or banking people. We all know that google is the biggest search engine on the web with an amazing webmail service, No other company has managed to offer us yet.
