I cant seem to find the 17mm hex conversions and the duel stainless steel disc brake. Aterlatus Posted April 29, 2009 Share Posted April 29, 2009 I'd avoid a steel spur until you're more used to the car. I still don't use one now. The nylon spurs are damn easy to replace if you do manage to strip 'em (no breaking down the car to get to it) and it'll protect the rest of your drive train in an impact. So long as your clutch is well meshed you'll get plenty of life from a nylon spur. To test the mesh, run a small piece of paper between the spur and clutch. When you take the paper out it should be heavily marked/bent but not torn. The diff mods work wonders for getting the power to the ground. Savage has a nasty tendancy to baloon the tyres otherwise. Go for the 4-gear diff mod and put a heavy oil in there. http://www.savage-central.com/ should have some good howto guides to help you out.
