You said the diff is going backwards, correct? If so, pull it out and flip it over so that the crown gear is on the right, not the left, as it is in the pic above. It's the only reason a diff will turn the wrong way.

Indeed, flipped it over but if I tighten up the cover nothing moves.

 

Turning back all 4 screws and it turns correctly.

Are you flipping one diff or both?

Try suspending the car off the floor and applying a little throttle - whichever pair front or rear turns the wrong way is the diff you need to flip.

also can find these 4 bits, found thats its a swaybar mount. Have i lost a swaybar also or is it an uprade?
