I made another, slightly bigger crate to go with the other two. Shown here in unfinished form. It has a couple of lead strips glued in place, one on the bottom the other glued to the underside of the lid and painted inside. I'm not going to stick the lid down on this one.

Here it is finished with a scorched exterior to make it look old and used with photo-shopped labels.

A few more crates and a pallet 😎

I recently made the 2 x tall crates and then set about making the pallet

I have just finished this last crate with corded handles and have also put a nailed down lid on it using cut down staples from my Stanley HD staple gun. I have to age crate too 😉

I've now done a little more of the finishing touches to the 'Toolbox'. I have now added some hinges to the lid, well, it's actually a couple of bits of chamois leather that I've glued to the top and rear to act as a hinge, it works good too. There is also a kind of hasp catch that I made with a fine hinge pin and a picture hanging pin for the hasp plate to catch onto. I also bought a small toolkit from Modelsport to put in the box along with some very small screws and a towing shackle that I had spare.
