Scx10 II build again

Recommended Posts

I had another day of fun today in a forest. I noted a few things. Original Axial shocks are not great as two rear ones are leaking already. Can anyone recommend any decent ones?
Second question is easy. Does anybody have a 1.9 inch spear wheel with tyre that I could buy? Ordering a full set of four just to have one hanging at the rear seems to be a little overkill. Any offers? e761c116e9e2118601f4326047539202.jpg6f7420eeda2268e3a8530c711f792d28.jpg

I’m running both Traxxas GTS and SSD shocks. Am very happy with both and would happily recommend either [emoji106]
Shocks subject is coming back again. I thought it will be easy to find correct shocks but there seems to difficulties with correct length. Standard SCX10 II is 98mm. However I can only see either 90 or 100mm. If I cannot find any 98mm I will go for 100mm unless someone can magically show me some 98mm...

Go 90mm, you don't need all that travel. Can alter mounting length with a different rod end length on the bottom 👍

Thank you. After hours on Internet I found some cheap 98mm long ones. I will try them first and see how it goes. Are Traxxas GTS one size or various options? I'm a bit OCD when it comes to ride height. I think it's started years ago when some cowboy mechanic fitted shocks in the wrong way in my car[emoji23]

It arrived quickly and looks good. I filled them with oil and fitted to the rear after a small change to way of screwing it to the top mount as they as slightly wider. It is all good but they have definitely too hard springs. So I will try put originals Axial springs on them and will see what happens. f73985d52f7b23492ca68aaca4b27fff.jpg7a30c483308b80be3d039cbdbdc1d13e.jpg
