Redback
Love me some nerdy IT talk as i used to build pcs for a living and now work full time on my pc doing 3d modeling and game development my pcs need to be pretty performant... anyway heres my 2c. Depending on your budget, 600£ - 1000£? i would go for a custom build. I got a custom build from these lot in the past, they were ok https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/laptops/ I also use https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ also for parts and builds. I would pay that little more and get a better machine that will last you a longer than going for a pre built shelf one (HP, Asus, Lenovo, Dell, etc...) they usally contains 2 -3 year old hardware inside. A custom build with middle of the range ram ddr4 16gig 3000mhz+, cpu i5 / i7 and nvme ssd for no bottlnecks and great peformance. Compare parts you might pic to ensure your getting the most bang for your buck and cutting bottlenecks were possible. eg https://versus.com/en/intel-core-i5-7400-vs-intel-core-i7-7700 Do Get more than 8 gig of ram, 16 gig is kinda bare minum. Do get dedicated gpu, you dont want to be giving half your ram to your gpu. Do get spare battries the laptop will outlive the life of 2 battries atleast. Do get a SSD check its a m2 slot one with good bus speeds 1500mb/ps min as it will need to run your scratch disks for photoshop cache. Donts. Buy off the shelf . Buy pcs with spindrives / hdd's these are slow and ruin a good pcs peformance. Buy items before doing a comparison / vs to see how they perform vs how they are priced!
