HPI Rush Evo... revisited... Again.

Recommended Posts

Wasn't looking for it but found this on local selling pages.

Ive had 7-8 of these and have always got on really well with the old T15 engines and the forgiving tough chassis....totally bullet proof.

The ad said... Ran twice from new,no transmitter but engine does turn over...spares repairs.

When I had a closer look at his pics I could see it was indeed very fresh [emoji41]

Could not resist.....45 quid.

Well it's here and I'm happy,it's tight with a rock solid tickover and cool running, the motor is in top condition and the rest of it is as two runs old.

It's not all plain sailing though, the slipper has been cooked out previously...the spur survived with minimal heat damage but the slipper hub is done...these two parts alone would normally render the whole thing spares...all be it very good ones but i got lucky [emoji16] found the hardened alloy slipper hub HPI72207,purple alloy transmission brace HPI72180 and not one but two RW Racing acetal spur gears RW492P'S all on eBay in the UK,suddenly this truck is a viable runner for the next year or two at least...plus I kinda like that it's old and pretty stock...could end up a shelfer yet it's so nice [emoji41]

The options list is still growing...

Found some NOS scattered across the globe [emoji41]

Both front and rear carbon shock towers arrived this week from abroad they've cost me less than the list price of a rear one in the UK back when they were still available![emoji16] so I'm well chuffed but its getting into the realms of a up to date RTR in terms of money.....and not a cheap one at that [emoji849]

I've had lots of these over the years...never with any hop ups and certainly never this fresh, tight nor clean.....

It's spot on but probably consigned to shelf duties mostly for the rest of my ownership.....the Rush has a firm place in my heart and my memories, not sure I really want to run it much it's so old.
