What transmission do you have on it?  Is it an R2 like this : http://store.rc4wd.com/R2-Black-Crawler-Transmission-V2_p_842.html ?

Looks like it might be an 8 to 20 tooth 32 pitch pinion. Manual pdf here : http://tracgear.com/manual/DiabloV2-M1.1.pdf ?

If you are not sure then post pics of transmission.

Hey Ghazgul, cheers for the info just checked and it is R2 but not version 2 so maybe also use 32 pitch? I really must get pics up here this thing is so damn shiny I am scared to even get it on the floor. God knows how I am going to handle taking it crawling I am OCD as it is

It's hard to find info on difference to the V2, but mainly seems to be the clear side to help you set the mesh, so I'd guess a 32 pitch will work as well.

In terms of speed on a 55t : Transmission has 10:1 to 30:1 Gear Ratio (8T to 20T 32 pitch pinion gears).  8T being 30:1 and 20T being 10:1.  If you can find the diff ratio you should be able to work out the final drive.  The 8T on a 55T motor = slow apparently.  Here's an old vid of a2.2" running a 45T on the 8T.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/rc-bitz - UK distributor of RC4WD stuff so they might eb worth a shout if you want to be sure.

Get it running and get crawling!
