Your receiver may only be 6.0v capable, in which case a lipo will fry it. 2s lipo is the norm, 3s lipo just isn't because the voltage is too high for servos and the like (a 2s pack is actually rated at 8.4v when fully charged, a 3s is 12.6) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Fly In My Soup Posted March 7, 2017 Share Posted March 7, 2017 A stand alone bec is a step down voltage regulator, an integrated bec also serves the dual purpose of eliminating the need for dual/multiple batteries to run all your elec system, hence the name battery.elimination.circuit.
