Have I killed it ?

Hi guys, so yesterday I managed to drive through the only puddle on my bash site with my stampede 4x4 running a mamba monster 2 . Not a problem I hear you say they are waterproof! Yes they are but I had the cooling fan still on

She stopped running but still had power to the steering sevo but none to the motor . I dried it out over night

Just plugged it in and had a bit of smoke

Out the esc so unplugged it sharpish .

Think I already know the answer but do you think I killed it ?

Thanks

Paddy

Nah, the motor and ESC keep their magic smoke (MS) in different compartments. Unless it is the motor siezing or shorting that caused the ESC to lose its MS, you ought to be fine.

MM2's have been known to fail for no apparent reason.

Look at a Hobbywing Quicrun WP 150a as a replacement. Much more reliable, easy to program and a pleasure to own.

Obviously they also run on contained, MS....;)

Thanks will look in to it

Would the connectors from the motor fit ? Or would I need some sort of adapter?

Thanks

Comes with 4mm bullets on the motor wires, which may/not fit your can, depending on which can you have ;)

Better to swap bullets on the ESC to match the can than use an adapter.
