large.20160412_184625.jpglarge.20160412_184723.jpgToday I decided to dig out my first nitro RC car and start restoring it back to its original condition. It's a Kyosho pure ten alpha which came with a Impreza wrc shell but didn't last long so put the pick up shell on.

I noticed yours is fitted with a Metal clutch bell - Mine came with a plastic one which im thinking of upgrading as i cant imagine the plastic one being any good under load.

If you are looking for any parts in particular, having just done mine - let me know and i may be able to help you source some reasonable parts

Get some snaps and Keep us posted on how shes going!

This was my first rc too I think I had the 2005 alpha 3 model. Scooby body. It was when they released the alpha 2 vauxhall astra. Kit magazine build.

Mine had the 15 engine, tuned exhaust blue metal parts and chassis I think was blue too.

I brought the astra body from a magazine through a friend who was a subscriber I painted it like a max power astra ide just seem and it looked ace. Flu yellow front end fading to flu orange then metalic red at the back. I didn't get decals so just used black market to colour in the lights and it looked race car style.

I loved it, then a friend offerd me a goped swap so I took it. He abused the alpha and gave it me back ruined for free lol. I kept it pristine but thrashed it. He only had it two months and completely worn it out.

Plastic clutch bell? I've never seen one of those lol

I think ill have to get one of thesehttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/kyosho-alpha-2-3-nitro-racer-GX-12-GX-15-Clutch-bell-New-/222069575016?hash=item33b460cd68:g:6xsAAOxyEoFSXVdy as im sure the plastic one flexes under load and i bet it wont last long - going ok for now though

ive changed the rx7 shell  on mine for a subaru as the bonnet is too long and low and it hits the fuel tank before its as low as i want it - wish i'd realised sooner!

Dug the body out today and I'm surprised by how good it still looks! Needs some paint touching up as the exhaust turned it back to a liquid!
