Hi bud, Im in Middlesbrough - running lots of vintage nitro stuff and a couple of newer nitro and electrics, up for bashing when i can as im really missing it! ive been going out alone as my mates strapped for cash right now so his cars wont be getting fixed any time soon

Yeah, in Middlesbrough. i have a few off road vintage 4x4 nitro's ( not exactly crawlers i know) but im up for bashing as my mates cars are all poorly for the forseeable future!

Hows it coming along?

i have spaced the shafts with fuel line as you suggested as far into the cup as i dare on the wheel end with the tinyest bit of slack. greased them up - and on full lock its way better but it still tightens up slightly,good news is it drives fine now so thanks for the advice. i think its something to do with the drive cups on the wheel end also fitting poorly in the hub, because when you wiggle the wheels the drive cups seem to have too much slack around them on the driveshaft side of the wheel hub - although they look okay im thinking possibly worn bearings in the hubs, if it goes back to being bad i will try changing those next thanks again for the advice

I noticed yours is fitted with a Metal clutch bell - Mine came with a plastic one which im thinking of upgrading as i cant imagine the plastic one being any good under load. If you are looking for any parts in particular, having just done mine - let me know and i may be able to help you source some reasonable parts Get some snaps and Keep us posted on how shes going!

Thanks Bud, ill check out your'e thread! it's nice to confirm this is what is causing it so thanks for the info. I have plenty of spare fuel pipe so i will get onto doing that..

Thanks for checking out my cars! If anyone can help - Im having a problem with this car..... basically when moving forward all is well (wheels turn freely) but when a certain amount of lock is applied the front wheels become hard to turn or seem to stop completely... Driveshafts are not popping out but seem close to end of drive cups when turning - I have had the driveshafts out to have a look they seem fine, front hex hubs and pins are fine, inner drive cups, front axle shafts and solid hub bearings have no excessive wear, only thing i can think of is those little sponge / rubber O ring driveshaft spacers may have deteriorated.... anyone else have this problem or know if its a common fault on the alphas?

Lastly - My latest project purchased off eBay A Kyosho Alpha... And here she is now.... almost there...

Next up is my Second Kyosho Dodge Ram, which was my cousins, bought same time as mine - only this one had been reduced to a box of bits over the years... Here it is back to its best out on a run (have original shell for it and i have bought this new beetle shell) This one is running with an acoms techniplus TX.
