cizardev
Hi I'm unsure what gearing to run on my hpi apache c1 (vorza drive train) at the moment I'm running 48 spur with 16 pinion. It's definitely too slow, motor gets on the hot side but battery and esc are cold. I know that I should go higher but I'm not sure how high with a 2000kv motor? Any help appreciated ! Thanks Evan. cizardev
I'm on 4s lipo just general bashing. You think 44 spur will be too much? I'm looking for similar to nitro speed which is about 40-45?
RCpete
Get the 46 tooth spur from the trophy buggy, and a 18 tooth pinion. I run that gearing on my trophy buggy flux on a 2000kv hobbywing motor, not sure if you have the same gearing on the front and rear diffs as the trophy but mine flies on 4s! It also runs really cool aswel.
