I fitted a 20kg jobbie to begin with, powerhd LF20, not really upto the job....

I then sold my roller having purchased AJs which came some crazy xpert affair fitted, stupidly quick and bags of torque.

Servo strength means naff all when the front wheels are in the air, which, with the PMT, can be frequent

Diff and box are fine as they are from the factory.

I have since stripped and serviced mine and was impressed with the quality of the box and internal gears.

  • 2 weeks later...

had a good few packs through mine now. Had to gear down to 18 t as 4000kv was getting bit hot for my liking.

seems a tough truck, but the rear hubs seemed to have loosened up a bit where the bearings sit, ally hubs maybe on the list. Ive also managed to dent the can of my motor, as it over hangs.

`fun truck though, will try and get some video up.

So I have my sights on one of these or a yeti xl or a Kraton v2 this is looking the better as I can get it from tower shipped for just shy of £200 plus import fees and I haven't got a 2wd basher in my collection

So is there any parts I should stock up on ?

Does the the steering bell crank need replacing ? If so with what ?

Thanks

Ive found the bell crank fine so far, its not a touring car ha

the shock ball ends wore out soon mine so bought a shock rebuild kit.

the rear hubs have gone  a bit sloppy.

the ball ends on the upper rear camber links also have gone a bit sloppy.

i have beat the living snot out of it though. great truck!

Cheers chap I might invest in the alloy rear hubs at some point ;)

Thinking of just ordering the truck and some basic spares like  arms, hubs, spur, slipper pads and maybe the diff seal kit oh and I'll stick a rebuild kit in there and some rod ends by the sounds of it I might need them lol

Should have most breaks covered and seeing as there's no uk spares it makes sense to get a few bits save on postage and fees later lol

Spur gears and slipper pads. - I have yet to be able to get these from a UK store. The pads are more expensive than the spur!

don't worry about steering it spend most of its time on its back wheels!

Grab front arms as well doddy, for the odd occasion it does put the front wheels down!

Mine has the carbon shock tower braces fitted, take a lot of the flex out whilst still remaining bendy. You'll want a Traxxas RX box as well.
