liamb2387
Got a new shell and never painted one before. I only want a really simple design. Maybe only 1 or 2 colours. Was wondering how easy it is and what I'd need to know if I did it myself Or is there any one who does simple paint designs who I could send it too? Iv found a few places but there too expensive for me just for a simplistic design
Noj
How brave are you feeling??? Only way to learn is to do. Mark out the design on the outside of the shell, then use masking tape or masking fluid as required and paint away. Use proper rc masking tape, not general purpose (too thick) and a sharp knife for trimming: Swann Morton no.3 handle and assorted blades are my weapons of choice. There are plenty of vids on YouTube which show the actual painting process so get watching and then create your first master piece
Thunderwolf
does take some practice to get the paint to lay well, but it easy to pick up with afew tries, keeping layers thin and building them up is the key. long and short of it, how good your paint job ends up is down to how much patience you have, if you're looking for quick then it will likely look bad as a result. sent you a pm though fella, have a read and see what you think
