Harris2258
I had the dominator on my dbxl and one on my baja but didn't like it on my dbxl so swapped it for a bartolone that's on a g340 ported engine though much better pipe just my opinion though? rcbliss
Good news for those wanting higher gearing and can't find the Red Arrow system (lets not mention DGI ...). Vertigo have introduced 22 and 23t gears for their hex drive clutch bells. DDM will soon have them.
willb
Maybe a blessing in disguise but I was set to order the Dominator and then backed out and now after seeing Harris' post I'll change my choice!

willb
Short video of a friend driving it for me but it runs really well And I was getting a strange gittering issue with the new Savox SV-0235MG steering servo. It seems to gitter when I steer one way or the other and let go. I have set the EPA's correctly but I can't explain this. The throttle servo is the same and doesn't do it. Any ideas? Cheers Will
willb
Just ordered the RCR brake upgrade kit. The stock brakes are fine for the first few runs but they fade very quickly. DDM have them for $64.99 which is very cheap compared to what they are over here.
.AJ.
They work great, I had them in my DBXL
lazkopat
I'd like to bump this thread as there seems to be a low activity recently. has anyone used unleaded 97 as opposed to unleaded 95? I'm tempted to use it on my two stroke but will I notice a difference?
rctruckz
to what ive read in the past, nope...doesnt make any noticable diff for our engines

The higher octane stuff has more refined additives so while you won't actually get a performance boost you will get less build up of carbon deposits on the engine internals.
lazkopat
Ok, thanks dudes. also these shocks on the DBXL the top end caps is not one single piece, I find it rather hard when rebuilding the shocks because it doesn't fully close unless you use set tools. It should be rather straight forward but it's not. I guess 5T shocks will be definet upgrade for dbxl
rcbliss
5T shocks make a big difference. Definitely worth it.
lazkopat
I can't seem to make up my mind on what clutch carrier to go for. Bartolone, FID, AREA RC, Turtle racing? they all look similar Which one did you guys go for?
rcbliss
I have Turtle, for no particular reason.

Derka
Another new member to the DBXL Owners Club Picked it up the other day, it came up for sale locally to me which is a rarity living up here so I couldn't pass on the chance of having a look in person. Very happy with it, only used it for 5 mins in the back garden but its awesome. It has a few upgrades over stock which I believe are; Zenoah G320RC Engine 31.8cc (Stock engine included) DDM Dominator Tuned Pipe (Stock Included) Savox SW-0240 Steering Servo / Spektrum SPMMS901 Throttle/Brake JConcepts Chashers Front Tyres Area RC Bell Housing Updated Clutch Bell Stiffer Springs all-round Skid plates front diff, spur and rear diff
russruss123
looking at potential servo options. Hitec HS-805 MG Altern USA P-ADS850HMG both look good altern has slightly better spec. anyone used or can recommend either of these servos. or even a different servo. I'm wanting one for steering and one for throttle with the hope it might give me some more brake as its very weak at the moment. Derka
Dbxl did well for its first run. Only breakages were the plastic servo horn and a screw snapped! Managed 41mph top speed with a temporary repair on one ripped tyre and 3 others that need to be taped to reduce ballooning
