mike anderson Posted February 17, 2015 Share Posted February 17, 2015 (edited) currently running my rustler vxl with a wpsc8 esc and a TENSHOCK SC401 V2 5kvim running 25 pinion, 83 spur,love the way it drives on 2s, mental on 3s,noticed after a decent bash the motor was a little warm,what gearing would you reccomend to keep the temps down, but the driving still funrunning nobbly rear tyres, mostly bashing on shortish grass, dirt, and dust Edited February 17, 2015 by mike anderson Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Depends what you call warm, they're safe up to 80 Celsius, you don't want to touch a motor that's 80 Celsius! What I'm saying is, if you can comfortably touch the motor, it ain't that hot. RCbutcher Posted February 17, 2015 Share Posted February 17, 2015 Do the max speed rustler guys use a gear from inside the revo 3.3 gearbox as a spur or pinion?
