HPI Nitro 4.6

Monster LB

Recommended Posts

Son got one of these for his birthday, just got it ready to go today for the first time. Finally managed to get some fuel to the carb (which took ages!!) and it started very quickly. As advised, the first 2-3 tanks, it should be left to idle. About 1/4 way through the first tank, it cut out. Cannot pull the pull cord to get it started again, it is stuck in - please advise. I have read on here that the engine could be flooded so have followed instructions based on that but to no avail.

Hopefully it is a simple fix but can't see anything relevant on here.

Help is appreciated.

Try heating up the engine because being a new engine it will have bags of compression and pinch, and if it is left at too dead centre or thereabouts it will seize as the metal inside contracts. Heat it up with a hair dryer for a few minutes and it should become easier to pull and start :)
