sorry to post another topic but i have been looking online for a FRSKY Taranis PLUS transmitter but they've all been sold out or back ordered.

giantshark have 24 of them in stock but the description says  "There is one item missing, the SWR check of the transmitter antenna is no longer available. "

SWR

think of it as a signal strength tester. these units are top end user

with upgrade abillitys , no doubt things like antennas of varying sizes-shapes and layouts.

swr meters tell you how good your transmitting signal is. if you have a low swr its possible the anttena is not placed at an optimal.

and you would tune your SWR on radio to adjust the ferquency wave to more match what you require. (sorry bout spelling hands very cold )

anyways its used for registering the signals output strength.

we all had that feeling

but digital readouts are great, just put that info right where you need it and in real time to.

long gone are the days you have to reset transimtter toggles etc etc for a new model.

these days they have memory and save setting for us, no more settings booklets in the flight

box.

mixing is great, having a switch activate and your controls become more tuned, like super sensitive

or flip the toggle and the controls are more sluggish, you can even dial this in to your own likening.

10 models and one handset is the norm these days, makes life so much more easy andthey now take 4xaa batterys

not the usual 8xaa batterys that cost an arm and leg each time. we can also change power soruce to run from lipo batterys to

giving us even more power and handset runtime
